I love this! Thanks for sharing. Yes, it's amazing that her weight stays constant. I remember the yellow and white dress from Lady Di and Charles's wedding. Also, the quality must be good too and stored properly to look good after decades. I have one black puffer that I've worn for 12 years and I thought I was doing well!

Runcarla, she’s my favourite Royal too - hardworking and definitely no nonsense. You might remember that there was an attempt in the 1970’s by an armed man to kidnap her from her limousine. It was a serious attack that resulted in injuries to at least 6 police officers/guards. Apparently when the gunman ordered her to get out of the car she told him “not bloody likely”. I think that she later said that her years of equestrian training had taught her to expect the unexpected. That’s an understatement for sure.

I’d love to see her get a few new outfits though. Some of her ‘oldies but goodies’ deserve an honourable retirement lol.

Good for her.l think she regards dressing up as a hazard of the job so is quite happy to recycle looks that have worked for her in the past and l don’t think that such formal wear really dates does it.

I love this! Echoing other's comments that it's impressive that she has (1) been able to maintain the same size over the years, (2) has picked classic styles that age well, and (3) is happy to wear the same outfit multiple times.

Incredible to see so many garments reused years/decades later. Also wondering about what if anything had been done to tailor them in between. Reweaving? Letting seams out? That would be so interesting to hear about…or I think it would be.

@ kkards - I’m interested as well. I liked how Princess Beatrice recycled her Gma’s dress https://people.com/royals/why-.....o-princess, and I note that the DoC has had some garments altered or tailored before repeating. Noting the eye watering price of some of these garments, it would be interesting to read about the care, maintenance, and archiving of their collections.

If anyone follows Trinny (formally of what not to wear) she has a series of videos where she takes you thru tailoring/reworking things that she owns. I find it really interesting.
