Of course! Is that really the point? Your cell phone will tell you what time it actually is. Very nice and classic picks both. I prefer #1, and I do consider my watch like a piece of jewellery.

I have a movado with a very similar face as the first one and can tell time on it just fine. You get used to it, I promise. Personally I think if you get a movado it should be the iconic one with no markings.

Have you tried on all three to see how you like them on your wrist? I'm not sure why, but I scratch and bang up watches a LOT. I recently discovered that my elderly mom has a ton of watches she never wears. I think as soon as a battery wore down she just bought another rather than replace the battery. So now I have a number of watches, but none nearly as handsome as what you've shown. A great looking watch is worth many, many mediocre ones.

Your watch is jewelry right? And all you ever really look at is the minute hand anyways since you always know what hour you're in (fellow accountant here). I say go with your heart.

Mine breaks some people's brains even though I think it is pretty easy to read!

I love #1. In fact, I actually bought it and returned it this spring. It wasn't that it wasn't a lovely watch (it is!) or that it was hard to read (it wasn't!). It was that it was pretty oversized and that I wanted to try out the shape with a bracelet style (this one). The more feminine style of the Fossil watch that I bought feels more me and I can wear it stacked with gold bracelets, again more me. Of course, it could be stacked with a chunky gold bracelet too and that was another reason I bought it. But I can tell you for a fact, the Movado is lovely, easy to read time on and a beautiful quality watch

I had a Movado knockoff similar to #1 many years ago and I must admit I hated it because I could not, in fact, tell time on it. So for that reason I prefer #2.

Well, all three are attractive, but I would need to get out my glasses to see what time it is! The fact is that we all get older, and our eyes get worse, so depending on how long you intend to keep the watch, it might be a problem.

I agree with what Diana said. If you are going to get a movado, get the iconic one. You will get used to it.

I adore the Modavo watches, really want one, but I could never tell time on it. I need large numbers and a second hand as I use my watch that way.
I just have time for a quick look for exact time and hate digital watches so large numbers and a second hand are necessary for me.
Everyone uses their watch differently Thistle. My preference is for number one as I have sweet eye for that brand and style but both are fabulous.

I love the "Bold' one best. I don't see an issue with being able to tell time on it.

But I do wear a watch as jewelry; my current fav even has a hidden face and I have to pop open one of the pyramids to even see the face so actually telling time is not my first priority! '

I would go with your heart on this purchase.

If you have to time sprints you'll need a stop watch as neither model will work. Go for the one that speaks to your heart - of course you can tell the time!

I like the black-faced one. But I personally couldn/t tell time with any of them. I do use my own watch to tell time and require stark white/black contrast and Arabic numerals. I basically only wear quintessential Timex.

Get the one you love. You will learn to tell time with it. (And the brain is pretty good at calculating angles, so that watch will be easier to read than you think. You'll be able to read the time accurately to a range of plus or minus one minute, I should think).

I agree with everyone else--go with the one you love. I consider my watches to be like functional jewellery as well. I think #2 would be more my style, but you can't go wrong with either!

Maybe not to the exact minute but I have two citizen eco-drive watches and the only marker is noon like the watch you have here. I've had similar watches for years. I love the streamlined simplicity of them.

They are all beautiful watches. I have a love affair with watches so it would be hard to pick just one. The Movados both honor simplicity in design and would go with everything. You should get the one you adore the most since you have been waiting so long.

I like the simplicity of the first one. It's bold and simple at the same time. How cool is that?
About watches, I'm practical when thinking about whether it's something I want to wear every day with everything (because I am a one-watch woman). But that's where my practicality ends. Otherwise, I want a watch that is "me," that I love wearing and looking at. So I would urge you to get the one you are most drawn to. Don't spend your bonus on a watch that feels like a compromise.

I decided to go with my heart on this! I figure if I want to be practical later, I will buy a Skagen or something similar. This is a treat, and I want it to be something I love. I figure comparing every other watch I see to this one means it must be love. I ordered it this morning. :).
