First off I want to say that this is purely an academic excerise as they don't even have my size and yes I'm trying to be good.
I got a thank you email from the boutique that had my Acne blue glitter loafers. The sales associate suggested I pair them with this slouchy jacket

It's completely shapeless and the color is called Burlap, but I'm actually intrigued by the idea.

No, it's too close to SSB, IMO. A cool menswear/boyfriend blazer in another color would work just as well. From a thrift store, bien sur!

In a different color, yes. To me, it kind of has a Japanese avant-garde vibe, like Issey Miyake or Rei Kawakubo. You know, that seemingly shapeless but actually impeccably origami folded oversized drapey thing.

I love the simple style and the exquisite draping though.

Coninue to be good and use this as a litmus test for thrifting something similar?

Yeah, the color is what concerns me, too. It's a particularly hard shade for those with medium blonde hair from how it looks online. I wish it came in another color. (Perhaps check Eileen Fisher - I remember seeing similar garments last time I was there with my aunt, though that was a while ago.)

I think if the colour actually IS 'burlap sack' it would work (being just dark enough), but can't tell from the image if that's so. But I'm usually cautious about colour, too cautious perhaps :-/
