Could this be my dress?

I'm still hunting for a dress that could be good for S/S and worn somewhat dressy if I have such a function. How does this one fare? Dh said he likes it MUCH better than the one I showed you from Club Monaco http://www.clubmonaco.ca/produ.....el_dresses

It looks super short on the model. It measures 33" from shoulder to hem, and just for reference the third pic is me in a dress I do wear, but wouldn't want to go much shorter, and it is 30".

The dress is on wicked sale, but also unreturnable, so honest opinions please!

I think it's pretty short ... the shortest I wear is 35"

It's cute Rae - and if anyone can pull it off, it's you.
However it does look too short. While it is suppose to be 3" longer than what you are wearing in pic 3, the hemline looks curved, and I wonder if it isn't shorter in the center section.

I love it! I can wear up to about 34" inches these days, but I'm older than you, and we all have our personal cut off points. If you are comfortable with this length, I'd say go for it!

Hm, it does look short. And it's more fitted than the one in your pic, so despite the measurement, it will probably sit higher up on your leg.

Unreturnable with no try on previous is my personal recipe for disaster. I would probably pass just because I have been burned in the past in this scenario, although I think the dress is really neat looking fit is just impossible to judge in this situation.

Oh....tricky. I would be wary. The dress is pretty, but is there any way you can talk to a real live human being about its actual measurement in the cut-out section?

You guys have brought up some good points, I didn't even realize the hem was curved in the middle.

I should add I'm a bit over 5'5" and the model is 5'11".

Soooooo.......I am less enthused about this dress now that I see it goes over as being fairly short. I tried to measure it out on me and the length works fine, maybe not for a wedding or something, but for casual wear yes. I did realize though, that all the dress I look at seem to be short and into the mini range. I also realized my summer shorts are either knee length or quite short. I think I've always been very comfortable showing my legs, so I've never much noticed length. It is something I need to think about more now as I edge towards 30 and away from 20 (and toting 2 kids).

Anyway, it's nice because this helped me realize I'm quite ok with short dresses/skirts/shorts. I'm still not sure I will buy this one, it could be too short for me, but I won't be giving up on items that run a few inches above my knees.
