COS coat and vest ETA smaller size coat

Hi all,

I just got this houndstooth coat from COS, and I like it quite a bit. (I was also looking at the slouch Babaton coat that Gryffin and others have posted, but I wanted to try this one first because of the pattern.) It’s supposed to have a slouchy fit and I’m wondering if I’ve got the right size?

Then, I got this navy vest, which is not attached at the sides - almost like a smock without the ties. This is a one size fits all item. I am leaning towards keep but still unsure.

Oh I love both on you. I'm not an expert on fit but to my eye they both look like they are meant to fit the way they do on you. I say keep both!

I love them both! I think the side ties on that vest are divine---I have been thinking about buying that myself, depending on the O/S fit of it.

Yes and yes! I would try the coat with sweaters and buttoned up, but from what I can see it looks great.

I love the coat. But is it too big? Can you try a smaller size? The vest looks great.

Definitely like the coat- and if it's a little big that's fine cause room for layers. Not sure about the vest length. Think I'd prefer a bit shorter- cause it's giving a 50/50 ratio w pants.

@Suntiger, that’s a good point about the 50/50…also, the vest is a little longer in front than in the back. I think it will look best with ankle or cropped length pants.

Coat has KILLER potential. I'm with Brooklyn. Try a size down to compare, and add the right layers underneath. It's going to be smashing!

Oh cool! I like both but can't help but wonder if maybe the smaller size in the coat might work -- if the sleeves are long enough.

The vest is amazing on you. The coat is great, but could be a bit too big in the shoulders. I am glad you are trying a smaller size.

I'm with the others, love them both. I quite like the coat as is but it will be interesting to see it smaller. It looks to me like it is supposed to be a little bit slouchy. But I agree the shoulders might be a tad wide.

I love the vest on you! The coat looks like the right size to me, though I do have a sugar eye for oversized clothes. The sleeves do look a tiny bit short in this size, so I am guessing in the size down they would be too short? (I have this issue a lot, so perhaps I am extra-vigilant and fussy about it, LOL)

Hi all, just added three photos of the size down in the coat. As always, excuse the bare feet!
The sleeves seem like they are the same length as the previous size. I still have plenty of room for layers and room in the hip. Thoughts?
