coral sandals - yay or nay? - YouLookFab Forum

I ordered these sandals and they came today. They're very comfortable, not too high (a big issue for me), and the color is nice (a bit more pink than in the photo).

So what's the issue you ask? The issue is that they move me a bit out of my comfort zone, as 95% of my shoes are black or brown. So, I need some objective opinions!

Also, I seem to be ordering a lot of coral clothes - I just ordered a coral cardi and silk Bellatrix shirt from Angie's list. Would it be too matchy-matchy to wear coral shoes with a coral top? In that case, would I be better off buying black or nude wedges (I have neither)? Or is that my comfortable-with-neutrals alter-ego talking on my shoulder, and in truth I'd have plenty of other options for wearing coral shoes?!

Cute shoes--I'd keep them. For me, colorful shoes are always useful and fun in warmer weather. I think the matching of shoes to tops all depends on the total look, but this is the year it should work. I look forward to seeing you in the entire outfit.

I voted Yay! They look cute, comfy and versatile. No idea on the matching question though. I never know when to match my shoes to my pants or contrast them for "effect".

If most of your shoes are black or brown you definitely need these ones. Why do you need another black or brown pair? This color is so versatile in summer and goes almost with everything you should not have any problem to wear them. Depending on the shade you can wear them with a coral top if you like to match your colors but you can wear them with everything else as well. I prefer not to match colorful shoes to my clothing as it is more difficult to get shades of the same color family to work together than completely different colors IMO.
I wear my red (and yellow and turquoise) summer shoes with everything!

Keep! They can bookend your coral toppers or add a pop to an otherwise neutral outfit. You will be hooked on colored sandals in no time.

I voted yay because they are great shoes, and I think you need to ease out of your shoe comfort zone. These can brighten up a neutral outfit or they can be worn in tandem with some of your other coral purchases. I bet you will get a lot of wear out of them. Go for it!

Colored shoes are the way to go! That color will look fab with everything--black, denim, white, khaki, olive, you name it. Definitely keep and wear! They are tres cute!

they will look fabulous with your denim, Sarah, and another pop of coral in the outfit via a top or accessory will be fab, not too matchy at all. I join the chorus, keep!

I voted Yay, they are cute and they look comfortable. I think they will look great on you and I don't think you will be overloaded with coral with these.

I vote keep, colored shoes can really change up an outfit. And if the corals don't work together, you still have your other neutral shoes to fall back on already.
