Copycat Challenge -- Kari Inspired

I tried on this BR outlet dress a couple of months ago. It fit well, was as comfy as a pair of jammies, and affordable. But I wasn't sure how I'd wear it. Then I saw Kari, Queen of the Dress, wear it with a green cami and a yellow.

The following week I happened to be back at the Outlet Mall, and this time, when I saw it in my size on clearance, I snapped it up. Now, I don't have the yellow bag, but I did manage to find a green tee.

Thanks for the inspiration, Kari!

You are so lucky! It's a great dress for you. I think it would also look good with a lower-necked underlayer (showing more decolletage) - or none at all.

Thanks, everyone. I realize that being inspired to actually purchase such a distinctive dress is hardly the most creative way to follow inspiration, but it's a great example of how YLF can open our eyes to things we hadn't considered before. Kari is a master at creative use of textures and color. Then when I saw the dress again in the store, I could see it's posibilities.

I think I may try pops of fuschia next!

What a great inspiration - if it had been me I'd still be hunting for that perfect match of tan or blue to match the dress. Color blocking it makes so much more sense!
Yellow or pink cami would totally work!

Pretty! I love green and blue paired together, and going with nude pumps instead of matching colored pumps looks fab. How fun that you were able to go back and get this dress

And I know EXACTLY how you feel. I, too, have copied Kari by buying the same dress. Not this one, but a winter one. Celia has it, too!!! We are triplets!

Fruitfull --- most of my camis are indeed a little lower than than this tee. No cami? Well, maybe not a work! hee.

ohhhh! Great dress, I love the blue and green here but the fushia sounds divine. Of course blue and fushia is high on my list of favorites! The dress has a wonderful fit on you.

Beth Ann, I just found this post in the archives. I LOVE your variation and the dress looks fabulous on you! That shade of blue is so flattering. I may have to copy you back next time I wear it, as I have a similarly shaped (though smaller) silver pendant necklace and some nude heels.
