Converse replacements?

I don't feel cute in Converses, unfortunately. So I tried these Feiyue martial arts shoes. I love them! Here they are close up and in an outfit. They have a streamlined profile and I find them comfy for walking the dog or hanging around. They are inexpensive ($17) and also insubstantial so read the reviews on amazon to see if they are right for you. I sized up one size.

I also ordered a few $7 ON tees (one is pictured in #2) and I love them! Stripes are so fresh right now. Another is navy with aqua stripes that I can't wait to style.

What's your sneaker of choice?

You look great! I usually wear New Balance sneakers, but those are really gear. Best shoes I have found to take DD out for walks in her stroller, great for weight lifting and on the treadmill/elliptical.

These look great on you! I have a pair of Nike that I wear for jogging and walking, and a pair of Converse that I love for casual days.

Wow, those do look great! I am really eyeing a pair of these leather sneakers in black or grey. I think they could be fun and they are supposed to be real comfy.

Yes Pil, I think she did get the metallic Caspians. I think they are in the YLF store too. I saw them once at Soft Moc and they looked great and felt very comfy.

Raisin, I adore those shoes! I wonder if I would feel comfy with the white. I think that's most of what bothers me about the Converse.

Adelfa I couldn't link a pic to this because its real time, but they make a version in grey or black with grey soles. That's what I want because I don't like the white soles either. It's is a UK store that sells them just to show you what they look like quickly. I'm not sure which US stores would have these ones in stock

OMG Puppy! Such a sweetie.

I love the kicks. Actually, I love the whole outfit. How are they comfort wise? I'm always on the look out for cool walkable shoes.

April, they are not cushy like a running shoe and have just a bit of arch support. But they are very lightweight and breathable, and the rubber sole is nice to walk on. It depends on what you want.

My fashion sneaker of choice is still Converse. However my gear sneaker of choice is GoLite Dart Lites. I have a pair that I wear to work and to Agility class (the dog is the agile one, not me) and love them. But IMO they are quite hideous.

Those look great, especially in black! It's funny, my first experience with Feiyue was that my kids wear those when doing kung fu. I tried my older daughter's pair on (the white ones) and was like, I could totally wear these as a casual fashion sneaker!
