converse hi-ness sizing?

Am super tempted to get these in grey but am a bit confused about sizing. I've read that they run small compared to regular Cons, but since I don't wear those I have no idea what that means. I am usually a 7.5-8 (I prefer the larger size for things like boots since I also add a small orthotic, which I would do here as well). However, in athletic shoes I'm generally an 8.5. So are cons sized like regular shoes or gear sneakers? My feet are narrow and low-volume but I have a bunion so I like to give it some room in front.

My flat cons run 1/2 a size big. It sounds like these might be more TTS.

Diana, I am normally between a 9 and a 10 in shoes, usually a 40 or 41, UK 7. I found these to be narrow, and I got a 10. I cannot wear a thick sock with them. So I would say size up half a size? I would say they are sized like normal shoes.

I normally wear an 8.5-9, almost always a 40. I tried on regular Cons, and needed an 8.5. Ordered these in an 8.5... they assured me they would be consistent (had to order them from a store that carries cons but not this style)... too small... sent them back and got them in a 9, which are perfect.

I sized up in these as they are quite narrow from the front and I have wide feet.

I think Angie said in her post on them a while back to size up half a size from your normal size. You might need a full size up.

Thanks, guys. I think I'll try for an 8 and hope for the best. I do worry about cons making my feet look long although I think the wedges go a long way toward fixing that. (This is one reason I don't like traditional cons, because I think they make feet look so long and skinny; the other reason is they are too flat for comfort!) Can always exchange, right?

By the way, what do you guys think of this grey for me? All white is too far out of my comfort zone.

I agree, the grey is hard to track down! I checked and lady foot locker does deliver to Canada but no idea how the customs/shipping works out.

Diana, my normal size is between 6.5 and 7. In this shoe I needed the 7. The 6.5 was too snug.

I have the white ones and they have turned out to be a surprising wardrobe workhorse for me. I can't wear regular Cons either because they are too flat.

I tried these with an insole but ended up wearing them without, and find them super comfortable. I have fairly high arches but don't usually need a ton of support in my shoes providing they are not totally flat (which is pure hell for me).

I have some flat cons and also the Hi-ness and I can confirm that I am a half size up on the Hi-ness. They are narrower and flater at the end.
