Contemplating NAS but need help pls! :)

So I was a bit dissapointed with the NAS offerings as I was hoping to find a bag and a few dresses or boots to fall in love with.

The only thing that has REALLY caught my eye is the Halogen Drape Neck Dolman Sleeve Sweater that we have seen Laura sporting. Love it and its just come back in stock. I can't decide whether to order it in grey or black - thoughts? For people that have tried this on, how does the sizing run? As always my measurements are in-between medium and large sizing charts.

However it seems silly just to get that one item if it needs to be sent all the way to Australia! Here's a few other on-sale non-NAS items that have caught my eye. Has anyone seen/tried on any of these???

- MICHAEL Michael Kors Tie Waist Dress - love the dots, the pockets, the length and the fact its cotton. Have absolutely no idea how it would look on me though.
- Olivia Moon Ruffle Trim Tunic - seems like a great tank for summer. Love the slate Blue colour. Has anyone tried this on? I wonder how thin the material is.

There's some other non-sale items that really tempt me too:

- Sweet Pea by Stacy Frati Bubble Hem Tank - nice patterns and a cool neckline. Am suprised not to have seen anyone else sporting these!!!
- BP. 'Costa Rica' Sandal - not that expensive, even full price. Perhaps my way to try out the sandal bootie trend. Not sure about the sand colour though, I wish it were grey.
- Kenneth Cole New York Drape Front Dress this caught my eye even before Angie put it in the ylf store. It's similar to the MK one but more expensive and the pattern is less bold. And am I just way too fussy by being put off by the scalloped hem? I hate those.
- Eric Michael 'Vogue' Over the Knee Boot - can't leave these off my pine-after list, I have been stalking them for so long and they just refuse to go on sale. I wonder if I should give up on OTK boots and concentrate on sandals though?
- Söfft 'Rachelle' Sandal another shoe that taunts me by not going on sale. And by being totally impractical for my lifestyle. Can't get them out of my head (or off my wishlist) though!
- Trouvé Puff Sleeve Cardigan that Maya linked to - can't decide if I prefer the port or the black colour. Both gorgeous!!!

Can anyone talk me into/out of buying any of these? First hand reports about any of these items whether you have loved or hated them would be very much welcomed!!!

Tam- those boots are so gorgeous that I can hardly stand it- I want them too! Are you in Melbourne? If so, you've got loads of cold weather left- get them!

I LOVE the sweet pea top- you've tempted me with that also. Also the Olivia Ruffle one is sweet and the slate colour is fab.

I'm not mad on either of the sandals.

I like the Kenneth Cole dress better than the Michael Kors one- the patten is more subtle and I think the hem makes it more flirty and a bit more casual.

I like the sweater more in grey.

OK, I have to just say now that I know that you have been lusting over those sandals for eons and eons. Sometimes things are just worth paying the money for if they are *exactly* what you want. You can always put them on display as a piece of artwork if you can't wear them often!

Boots. Mmmmmmmm.

I love both of those tops and you are right, the Sweet pea is absolutely adorable! The slate coloured top with ruffles is also gorgeous. You sure are tempting me here as well, I must say.

Hmmmmmm, the others, (the dresses and sweater) I've forgotten in a brain freeze moment what they look like. (That's what happens when I keep thinking about your Rachelle sandals!) Am I allowed to honestly say that I'm feeling too lazy to go back and double check which dress was which?

I do know that I liked them very much though (naughty forum participator that I am.....)!

Okay, so this is my ruthlessly logical side speaking. (I took my "Get it all!" shopping self and locked her in a closet for the duration of this post.)

I would be wary of doing the boots this way, since you haven' tried them on IRL and they are likely to be very heavy and very big -- i.e., expensive to ship. I wouldn't take the plunge on these unless you have occasion to travel and try them on in another country.

Re. the dresses, the KC only has one thing I see as a negative: "100% nylon." Not great in summer. It's not bad in a sleeveless Sweet Pea top, but I'm thinking about getting out of my car with a nylon dress clinging to the backs of my legs...

I have the same reaction to the Sofft Vanessas that you have to the Rachelles: love, but impractical for my life. Therefore, pass.

As far as the rest, get it all! (Eek, she escaped...)

Tam, for the Halogen Drape Neck Sweater: I am as tall as you and usually between M and L on the top. M was a little snug on the hips (I am size 10 there) but L was too large in the bust. If you are slimmer than me in the hips definitely go with M - looks much better. I was considering to buy it in M but my budget screamed at me! I liked purple better than grey but I like colors so it may not mean anything.

Tam, you've got some great picks! I love them all (I know, not helping). As you're getting ready to go into summer, I think I might hold off on the OTK boots for now as they will probably be expensive to ship but I think they are amazing and I can see you pulling them off.

I love all the tops you have picked out and think you will get quite a lot of mileage out of them. I have the Kenneth Cole dress and absolutely LOVE it. It is perfect for hot, humid summer days and I would buy more if it came in another color. It drapes well and is very versatile.

I think the bootie sandals are fun and a great price. The Sofft sandals look great. Would they be going out shoes for you? I'm jealous if you can wear that heel height everyday.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. I realize I haven't helped at all

Tam- I ordered that Michael Kors dress (in 2 sizes no less) and ended up returning it because the stiffness of the double layer of fabric just didn't lay nicely on me. Not sure how it would translate on you given that you're a different body type, but that was my experience. I remember telling the salesgirl when I returned it that I felt like I was wearing a tutu. I also wonder how the length would work on you. Might be a tad short.
I also tried on the KC dress and loved it. It was a nice long length and great draping. I would advise you to get that one over the MK dress. The only reason I didn't get is was #1 the price... #2 the salesgirl talked me into something else instead. I would have snatched it up in a heartbeat if it came in another color though.

If I were you I would buy those Eric Michael OTK boots in a New York second. You are going to look spectacular in them. Wear them as long as you can this season and I am certain they will still be very much in style next year.

And about the Halogen tunic, if short little me wears an M, than someone of your fabulous height definitely needs a L and maybe an XL, depending how long you need it to be.

Megan, hehe don't tempt me about boots! Thanks to Tanya's thread I have just realised I own more boots than sandals, so I am wondering if I should really concentrate on the sandal thing more this year. Plus I have already bought one pair of boots this season!

An KP, you have just continued to tempt me as well. Not that I need much help with that clearly!!

April I know what you mean, boots can be a big gamble, OTK boots even more so I am sure. Thank goodness for online measurements; they take some of the guesswork out of it. I have been lucky enough to have bought Camper, Doc Marten, Star Ling and Frye boots all online that worked out perfectly. My luck has to run out sometime though, right? The nylon in the KC dress worries me as well. We'll see!!

Sveta I'm a size 10 in hips as well. I guess large would work better then. Especially if Laura bought a medium. I know I'm a lot bigger than her!!!

Angie you have missed nothing, I still don't wear heels. I do love the look of these though

Dani have you posted pics of the KC dress? I'd love to see it on you!!! The Sofft shoes would definitely be going out shoes for me!!

Queenie thanks for the advice re the MK dress. I also worried a bit it looked very pouffy. Not the kind of style I should risk buying online methinks. I wish the KC dress was cheaper then it would make my decision easier

Mmmm - the black boots and the grey Halogen tunic sounds superb Tam. Do it, do it. Have you pushed 'purchase' yet?? And I think you should go for the cage sandals also. Otherwise you'll still be dreaming about them when summer hits
