Consolation clutch purchase...

So in my frantic search for the Kate Spade clutch, I came across this brand new one and decided to give it a try. By the time I texted my SA she said there were only three left! I managed to get one and it's hopefully on the way. I think it will be perfect for going to film events with my sister (Tribeca this spring and MAYBE Sydney in June, fingers crossed!).

What do you think?

I love it. Also I love going to the movies (we have a lot of second run theatres in town), so it could get use outside of a few main events. Actually it could work with a lot of outfits/locations, and there is the option to flip it around to the blank side from time to time.

I can't tell if it's mint or aqua - will have to see. Is a light colored clutch a bad idea dirt-wise?

Very cute and so perfect for your events. Don't go by me, I spent months tracking down the KS emma clutch. Hugh JA fan and my current pups are Knightley and Emma, so of course, I had to have it. I totally enjoy it every time I use it. So although I don't use clutches much, I am fine with that. Keep looking. Maybe the polar bear will pop back in. You never know.

Genius clutch! Happy that you and your sister can share these events.

The issue of dirt is probably not going to be a huge one for event-wear.
On occasion, I have gone over to the dark side and sprayed light footwear and bags with breathable leather waterproofing spray. I'd be cautious with the dark lettering on this one, though. Perhaps ask a shoemaker the best way to go.

Speaking of mint clutches, I saw this mint ice cream truck clutch and totally caved. I used to want to be an ice cream truck driver and librarian when I was little. Now someone please put a filter on my computer to block the Kate Spade website!

I saw the ice cream bag! There is also a ticket coin purse. And I'm still trying to hunt down the polar bear clutch which has become the Holy Grail in my head now. When it arrives, please tell me it's terrible and you hate it.

Fun I have lots of light colored bags, not really a problem. I've taken my white clutch to be professionally cleaned twice in 3-4 years, but mostly I just wipe it down. Need to try the erasure sponge thingie Angie suggested.

I would probably try Lexol leather cleaner and then their conditioner. I've also heard good things about baby wipes. And my really old Coach bags? I wash them in the sink with dish soap! And moisturize lavishly. But mostly I find my small evening type bags don't get dirty. I don't put them on the floor. I leave them in my lap or put them on the table.

This is perfect! Agree with Shevia, it's a great option for summer while you seek out the elusive polar bear. I hope some KS or another designer brings them back from extinction -- and donates a portion of proceeds to polar bear causes, since the bears don't have any brand police to protect the use of their image in for-profit ventures

That is perfect for movie events. I am also looking for the polar bear on ice clutch (not the fuzzy one) for special events. We can be clutch twins soon.
