I went on a bit of an exploration of puffers after the recent discussion here, and I tried and rejected a few — too bulky, unflattering, poor fit, blah color, etc.

This one is ticking my boxes for flattery, length, light weight but suitably warm, and a nice color. The color is a lovely forest green, which I love. If you click through on the Find you’ll see the green (only the black would work on the Find) — the color is not showing up well in my photos (forgive workout clothes and disheveled post-walk hair), but it’s less shiny than the stock photo, which I like.

Long coats are not the easiest fit for me, but this one has just enough room, especially considering that I am currently at a higher weight than I should be. I’m wearing two warm layers under this so this is as snug as it will likely ever be.

It’s surprisingly compact, even though it’s not billed as “packable.” This is a huge bonus because this would go to Europe with me for three weeks of winter travel (Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Munich). It’s either this or take a wool coat with my thin short puffer to wear underneath.

Question: can I get away with wearing this over a dress for our dressed-up occasions while on vacation? I’d like to take as few pieces of outerwear as possible!
