considering a pixie cut!

About 7 months ago I asked for input on hairstyles and had the suggestions of a pixie cut made by quite a few people including our resident experts! (ie taylor and renata)

I wasn't brave enough then but am seriously considering it now for a haircut I have scheduled for Mon.

I'd love to have a photo to show and wanted your opinion on this one I found

Questions
Would it suit my squarish face and reasonably thick straightish blond hair?
Is is easy to maintain?

If not do you have other suggestions.

It looks like a lovely and feminine cut Anne. I'll be fascinated to what others say.

I think pixie cuts are fun and there is one to suit you. I think you'd look good with a pixie. Angie has a nice cut don't you think?

Do you know your stylist well?
Is t a master stylist?
Have you seen portfolio, pictures or other customers from this stylist?
Do you have good communication with your stylist?
Bring a lot of photos, especially photos of the styles you do not want.

Be extra extra specific about the length (minimum, maximum).

Ask how they intend to shape the nape. Ask for pictures. If possible, ask him for a feminine nape. (Longer strands yet stylish and clean) Bring pictures of napes. Bring pictures from many angles.

Ask him to maintain longer strands in the front. If oyu are unhappy or if the change is just too much, it will be easier to deal with if you have longer, manageable hair strands in the front.

Anne, be sure to ask for a detailed tutorial on styling whatever cut you choose. Have the stylist dry and style it for you, specifying which products would be required for the look you desire.

I think you should go for it! The only thing you should know about short haircuts is that you will need to go in more often to get it trimmed, so it will keep it's perfect shape!
And this style will work on your type of hair and square face, rest assured!

I have a pixie and really love it, although my hair is quite fine. I second the recommendation to really know and trust your stylist. I have had my hair short before and have been unhappy with it, but with my new stylist I absolutely love it.

As far as maintenance, pixies are very easy to style on a daily basis, but you will have to commit to going in for a trim more often. And product is VERY important. Make sure your stylist shows you how to style it and what types of products to use. The styling cream I use makes all the difference in my style.

Oooh Anne I like it and think it will look great on you (of course I'm totally unqualified to say why LOL).

I have to say my pixie has been the best thing I've done with my hair in such a long time that I'm possibly a little biased!! I do have to get mine trimmed every 4-5 weeks though, and must wet/wash it every morning and use some goop - but seriously, even that each morning is less work than longer hair!

If I recall correctly, you have had pixie's in the past, so you probably already know that sutff LOL? I can't wait to see pics after Monday's appt!!
