Cons - do they stretch?

Still trying to get on team wear :).
I bought these cons (my first cons) a while back and was going to return them - have no idea why - too trendy? really I dont know.
I just tried them on again and geez they are so cute. So they fit well but the toe box is a tiny bit narrow. Not enough to size up because they would slide off.
I am wondering if the cons stretch a bit with wear? If yes, I am busting them out of the box today, wearing them outside, so I can rid myself of the ability to return them.
If no, then I am afraid they need to go back

I had a pair of Keds and some other canvas shoes in the past, and I did find that they would stretch a bit.

thanks ceit - I will try wearing them a bit in the house to see if the toe area gives a bit.

Give will be only a touch...not like leather.

Thanks BJ. not sure they are keepers but darn they are so cute. The toe box is just a bit too snug but maybe they will stretch enough

My Cons have not stretched a bit...have worn them 10-12 times. Mine are the traditional lace-up style, possibly that makes a difference as they are made out of canvas with a rubber sole, etc. Yeah, no change at all.

Very cute shoes! In my experience, canvas shoes stretch very little if at all. But maybe you will be lucky and they give a bit with some wear.

If there is a seam across the area you need stretched, probably not. If it's just the plain canvas, try wetting it and then wearing them around the house.

I have two pairs of Cons, one in canvas and the other in suede. Neither pair have stretched in several years of wear.

My Cons...lace up and slip on that look like lace up without the laces... have not stretched in years of wear. However I bought them big enough to add orthotics because I wanted more support

Mine (the Hi-Ness) haven't stretched, exactly, but I would say they feel a bit softer and have a touch more give than at first. "Molded" might be the best word for it.

I agree with Suz - I think they soften, rather than stretch. I have 2 pairs of regular Cons, and the rubber toe section always feels quite stiff and tight for the first few wears, but now they feel much softer and I wear them almost daily. If they are only a tiny bit tight, I think they will be fine!

My cons stretched. Wedge hit tops.

In my opinion, no.The shoe becomes more flexible but the width stays the same.

thanks all. I am going to wear them in the house today to see if they soften up as suggested. If not, they will go back on Monday because they have been in the closet far too long.

In the toe box not at all. I have the classic ones with the rubber toe.
