So when I placed my Nordstrom order for a spare pair of the Wit & Wisdom skinny jeans, I also ordered this clutch. I have put this clutch in my cart and taken it out again at least 4 times since I first saw it. I love the yellow with the cobalt blue and the size is fab. But I decided a while ago to try out a daytime clutch first at a lower price point in case I really didn't like using one. So I bought my faux leather one that I'm using today and have found I really enjoy having a change from a regular handbag and now wanted to purchase a real leather one. Imagine my glee when I saw the pretty one I've always wanted now part of the sale so I ordered it. It won't be everyone's idea of a pretty bag, but I'm thrilled and can see it paired with the KS cobalt pumps.

I also went to Gap at lunch time today to return the size larger in the new yellow striped sweater I just got. I always order two sizes and then just return the one that doesn't fit. While there I found a vivid tomato red blazer that was marked down to the same price as the sweater I was returning. I figure since I'd already paid for the sweater I wasn't going to miss not getting the credit, so did a straight swap. Plus I found a fab loose knit black/red/white pull over sweater at serious discount and picked that up too. Pics will be coming later tonight as I'm at work with no camera.

P.S. Rita - I thought of you when I saw the red blazer - it's an extremely saturated colour (lol)!

Ooooh!! It will be great on you!! I saw the tomato red skirts at the Gap today. It is a gorgeous color.

It's not a cropped blazer but it's definitely shorter than my new magenta one. I like having ones at different lengths and it looked great over my black dress. You were soooooo right!

I know exactly which blazer you are talking about. I bought the matching tomato red trouser pants, while I was in LA. It was the day after I met the fab LA contingent. I am still not sure if I'm keeping them though.

Hey Rae, don't feel bad. I have the following in route:
1 dress ( 6pm)
2 pairs of sandals (Steve Madden and Miz Mooz)
1 pair of cognac booties from Steve Madden, originally $175 - on sale for $45.
The MIA lace up boots GP has, in a natural color, I have the black already and at $50 I could not pass them up.
1 colored skinnies (AE)
1 white blazer (AE)
1 canary yellow blazer (Zara)
and sunglasses (Ray Ban aviators) on the way!

I'm still waiting for the elusive J Jill silk blouses...so much for SYC (ha ha ha)!

Zap - why are you unsure about keeping the red trousers?

I am very eery of bright colors on my bottom half, since I have pear tendencies. I don't like to highlight the tush.
I am giving colored pants another go. I do that a lot, I will buy something to give it a try at home and if in two weeks it does get worn, it goes back.

OOOh, I LOVE the clutch. I have been toying with the idea of a daytime clutch myself. I must admit I am not really a bag person, I usually just carry one and don't switch out unless I have to for an evening outfit or something.

I carry a big tote to work and I usually stick my purse in it. On the weekends I usually have a diaper bag with me if we are out and about and my purse goes in that or the stroller. A clutch would be easy to put in larger bags but still stylish to carry around. *ponder*

I love the purse. I did some damage yesterday and two days to go on May SYC. I was just not going to open the bags until June 1 lol. Not sure what I am keeping yet!

Um I have being shipped, one white dress, two handbags, a pair of heeled black booties, two Zara tropical print dresses and a couple of camisoles. And then there is the pending net-a-porter sale items, which I'm still hemming and hawing about.

Anna - you just made me feel better (lol)! Mind you, you weren't the one who told everyone on YLF that you were doing SYC!!! Clearly you can't trust a thing I say!

I too was bad. I went and ordered me (another) Halogen skirt in black this time and the Gibson one button structured jacket. I felt like a good, plain black blazer was needed. I have one now but I tried it on this weekend in hopes of wearing it to the workshop I was teaching.

Ugh, so boxy. New one ordered!

Shannon the clutch is just gorgeous. I bought a red croc print one recently (I had it in today's WIW) and I can't tell you how much I love using it. I like them big. Mine is the size of an A4 sheet of paper and I think they look very stylish. I think you will enjoy this. Can't wait to see it feature in a WIW!

As an aside... did any of us stick to SYC lol

Hey, I stuck to my May budget mostly! I am over $8 for the paper bag dress, I think. Or wait, did I get my blue ankle boots in April? Hmm, maybe I am over . . . if I ask my mom for just a Visa gift card instead of trying to find the perfect *whatever*, I can cover the boots and only be $22 into June, counting the amount over my WBMIL's gift I spent on my Express suit.
I'm happy with that.

@ Rae - Don't go for the cranberry color on those MIA lace up boots.
I am just done returning them. For whatever reason, the material and dyes used are nowhere near the quality of the natural, brown and black ones.

It's amazing how the perfect items turn up at great sale prices when one is on SYC. Go for it.
I checked out the red blazer on the Gap site and it's not on sale there except for 15% off today...not enough. It looks like it's also available in petite and in off-white. How was the sizing for you?

Joy - we're not able to get petite sizing for Gap in Canada so can only get the regular sizing. I wear a medium and it was perfect (other than the long sleeves). Just to clarify this blazer is not the ponte knit one also in tomato red. This one is a cotton/polyester blend, dry clean only. I'm thrilled with it!
