I don't know what I was thinking, going into the mall for a back-up turtleneck, something festive for dear son and thinking I could stick to my resolution to not buy anything from the party collections for myself and shop my closet for the quarantine holidays.
So I got this fuzzy sweater that will hopefully not start looking ratty after one wash cause it can be worn outside the holidays too. And this statement silver skirt... I blame Anchie ;-D. No really, I don't yet own any velvet or festive midi and both have long been on my mind ... The velvet being pleated gives it some lovely dimension plus will likely hide food stains better than all the satiny unflattering-for-me bias skirts out there.
So I'm gonna say: not planned, not very mindful, but ticks all the boxes of this year's holidays and next year's family gatherings. My party wear is all quite old, hard-wearing but kind of dated. This small update can therefore be justified :). What do you think?
