I don't know nothing about boots, I don't have a single pair of boots (I only have oxfords) but this year I feel like I should overcome this fear and buy a pair!
Can you help me?
I choosed a pair, it has a gorgeous taupe color, amazing quality, but now, looking at the photos I'm afraid this kind of boots make my calves even bigger (photos 1 and 2). Do this outfit look ok? Are those boots flattering?
Photos 3 and 4 - imagine that I have opaque tights and a cardi, do these boots look ok with a dress?

The boots are beautiful, rute, and you can certainly wear them. I prefer them with trousers on you, but as you say, with opaque tights in a low-contrasting color, they will work very well with skirts, too.

I say yay, for sure, but you might be interested in looking for a pair that hits you higher on the calf in addition. After all, you might need more than one pair of boots, even in Portugal. Or am I wrong? If that is the case, I feel like emigrating straight away

Yes, lovely with pants.
With a dress or skirt just add tights of a similar colour and they will be great too.

I happen to like them best with the dress and even without bridging tights. Looks like dynamic casual to me.

you should take my opinion with some salt. i have a thing against boots that are not knee high. i own only 2 pairs of less than knee high, both are higher than these boots.

i love the boots with the pants and esp with the jacket. i'm not sold on the boots with skirts/dresses. perhaps with matching-toned tights? i have a fear of leg shortening with calf widening. our lower bodies are very similar in contour, although i envy your slimness.

We have a warm weather, no snow, but we do have some rain between October and April, so I think this justifies a pair of boots.. maybe two

I love these on you Rute - the colour is lovely and bookends with your taupe jacket to perfection! The fit is fab and honey, your calves DO NOT look big! To my eye, they work equally well with skinnies and with your dress. My vote is keep and enjoy!

Rute, are you sure you want to go with flat boots first? You are such a heels girl! And what about booties?

I'm a heel girl but I'm thinking about a good pair of boots for the rainy days and heels are not the best option.
I don't have booties but I have oxfords with heels. I'm seeing this year lovely flat boots and biker boots.
I don't think I have (yet) the confidence to wear it with dresses, I wanted a pair to wear with skinnies, so I'm guessing those are not the ones

I love the boots with skinnies too, Rute! They just look even better with the dress. Try a slightly taller boot like this with skinnies - that will be even more flattering

Gorgeous with the dress, even without opaque tights...love them. They look nice with the skinnies, but I think that just a tad higher or a tad lower may hit in a better spot on your leg (though I'd say your calves are shapely and nowhere near "big").

You are so cute, Rute! Cute Rute! The boots are esp. awesome with the dress and don't make your legs look fat at all.

I do think with the skinnies that your waist seems to be in the "wrong place." I think that has to do with the untucked shirt hem and top of the boots closing in on each other. I'd do flats with this top (which I love, btw). And I'd try to see how the boots and skinnies look with a shorter top.

I still cannot get over seeing you in slacks...and I liked the boots with those. But I think Angie is right, you normally wear heels...didn't any heeled boots appeal to you?

I really like the boots with the dress, also without tights, but I am not sure if I love them as much with the skinnies. I have a pair of boots the same height as these ones and I just never wear them as much as I thought because I never really feel as good in the in-between height. I think you should try more styles before committing to these ones. Love your leather jacket and top, by the way!

Yay! I think they're great on you, both in the skinnies and with the dress. They look like they both suit as well as fit your legs nicely.
