Had a funny conversation today. I was waiting to pick the kids up from school with a few other parents, and a mom walks up with her handbag wedged under her arm. She pulls up to the group and mournfully holds up the bag, waving its broken strap.

Handbag mom: "Look! My favourite bag finally broke. My garage sale vintage one. I'm so bummed."

Me: "Not to worry. My fashion blog says that a daytime clutch is the next new thing."

Handbag mom: "Uh, what?"

Laughter from the other moms.

Me: "You know, a clutch handbag. Like for evening. Except you use it in the day. Apparently it's all the rage."

Peals of laughter.

I don't think the daytime clutch is going to take off in my demographic, haha.
