Just thought I'd pass on to you 2 compliments I'd received for which I can absolutely give credit to Angie and Ylf
1) "You look like someone on an optometrists poster" - Hooray for Angie and prodding to get new "specs"
2)" You are looking like a very trendy mummy" (approx) - I was wearing skinnies, flat riding boots and a scarf with my 2 year old grey sweater tunic.

Thanks ladies. Of course I was pleased but I really wanted to mention it because it was only because of Angie and you guys. Without YLF I would still be wearing "free" glasses and wouldn't have got a compliment for an outfit that I really just threw together because I wouldn't have had the building blocks - eg the boots, skinnies and specs. It is now one of my MOTG uniforms!

That's great Anne. What we fashion-conscious people on the forum think is important, but it's even more important to see the reactions of the people in our everyday lives. Good to know they seem as impressed with your style as we are.

Whenever anyone gives me a compliment about my appearance, I immediately think of YLF. I think Angie was traveling but some time earlier in the year the waiter at a restaurant told me I shouldn't eat strictly from the vegetarian menu because it made me too skinny! Actually, it was a pretty obnoxious/stupid comment overall but I couldn't believe anyone would accuse me of being too skinny. I have to believe it was the illusion created by the clothes that were inspired by YLF.

Cricket my specs are about 3 months old (I see from the date on this thread)

I don't always feel confident and so on, especially compared to stylish and fashion forward women on the forum (though it is lovely of you to say so; but it seems I can hold my own in a small regional town!
