While I feel that there is some truth to the whole “complexion season thing”, I don’t like to take it too seriously. Colours cannot be seen in isolation. Pale skinned people generally look awful in tan, but wear the right tan with black and red and we’re in business. So you can be a mix of all the seasons. There are colours that people look good in when they wear them on their own, and there are colours that look great when they are worn with other colours, or not near the face.
Just like you tend towards a body type, you tend towards a colour spectrum. But there are variances and exceptions to the rule. So I’ve just complicated the whole colour – complexion thing and I apologize. Experimentation and constantly trying something new. That’s my best advice.
