Comfy D'Orsay Flats?

Hi all! wondering if anyone has found a pair of the pointed-toe D'orsay flats yet this season that are comfortable. Some of the ones I have seen look so stiff and too flat on the sole.

I love the d'Orsay flats from J Jill. Insanely comfy, especially the linen ones!

I did see some cute d'orsay flats at dsw a couple of weeks ago. I actually tried some on but I don't need any shoes so I resisted.

It might have to do with your foot shape. I personally can almost never wear dorsays because my arches are so flat and unstructured that they just pancake out of the opening on the side. It looks bad and the edges of the shoe tend to dig, despite the fact that my feet are narrow.

I found the Franco Sarto Hawk Flats ridiculously comfortable. A little cushion and soft. I have a widish foot and find Franco Sartos perfect for me. Available in many colors and at many retailers:

I was surprised at how comfortable these Steven d'Orsay flats were for my fussy feet: http://www.6pm.com/steven-saxon-bone-multi , even walking in the city. But now I'm tempted to try the J Jill recommendation, since I love the d'Orsay style...

I got a Betsey Johnson at TJMaxx in black suede/ leopard. It was just totally random luck. Still not 8+ hour shoes for me, though. I think the suede helps.

Thanks for asking this question, karymk! I've been ordering and trying D'orsay flats but haven't had any success yet. I think they are a hard style to wear…but for different reasons for different people. My problem is that they flop right off my very low-volume narrow-heeled feet.

Jeanne, thanks for the review of the FS Hawks. I've been eyeing them because of the rave reviews. Maybe I'll have to give them a try!

I don't usually find Calvin Klein footwear comfortable, but a their Laura D'Orsay flats with pointy toes from The Rack feel comfortable in my regular size. The toe box feels wider than most with pointy toes.

I really like the Chinese Laundry ones. I can wear them even with my current foot problem, where I need a pretty roomy toe box...

D'Orsay I have these linen ones in every color (even duplicated the natural). I also have black and brown versions in leather. There's a pretty floral one on the site too.

Favorite Skimmer These come in several colors if you navigate back to the shoes tab. I'm buying these...love! I have several of the suede skimmers and a couple fabric ones as well.

Be sure to ScotchGuard the fabric and suede ones!

Thanks for the links, Carter. I ordered the last D'orsay in an 8, and I also ordered the Favorite Skimmer in a 71/2 and an 8. Some reviewers say they stretched quite a bit, did you find this to be true?

Angie, the Vince ones look great but are too $$$ for me. Why does Vince have to be so $$$? It's not like the quality is any better than some lower priced made-in-china brands...

Karen, the linen ones do stretch a little in the toe box. I haven't noticed any stretch in the leather or suede ones though. Mine are all 1-3 years old.
