Combat boots

My Miz Mooz combat boots and I parted ways a couple of years ago. I'm debating on two styles and would like to know your opinions--assuming they are equally comfortable. Thanks!

I can't make a find for the Thursday combat boot but here's the link:

I know several people like the Thursday boot "Captain" but it doesn't come in black and it's a little more "granny" style than I was looking for. It's more along the lines of the Frye Natalie lace up and I'm pretty sure I want a more rugged style--but more refined than my navy Docs.

I like them both . The Nordstrom one is a lot more refined though . I’d wear it in a heartbeat , and can see you in the Thursdays one .

I'm a big fan of the Thursday boots; the others, not so much. But then again, it might be because the Trinity boots don't lean particularly combat to me.

I vote Thursday. They look more rugged and stompy.

The other pair is nice too, just a slightly different vibe.

No surprise I lean opposite to Nemosmom, Shevia and Brooklyn- I far prefer the ones in the Find. I don’t like chunky boots, I mostly prefer them more refined.
Which makes me wonder if you should go for the Thursday ones as closer to your regular style? You’re much fitter than me and maybe those would look better on you?

They are both nice and so I would go with what is most comfortable. You will get lots of wear from these, so even both is not out of the question given they are quite different.

I prefer the pair in the finds, but then like Jenni NZ i prefer more refined footwear....can you order both and give them a try and decide?

Thanks for weighing in, Fabbers! Both of the boots I am considering have a 6-7" shaft--as opposed to the 10" 14 eyelet of my navy Docs. I'm wondering whether the shorter shaft will work for skirts and dresses or not...

I think I'll play around in the closet a bit before I buy. I'll report back!
