A couple of recent looks.
No 1: I’ve mentioned before that I’m an admirer of Saga in the original (Scandi) version of The Bridge. I’ve been wanting to try something like her leather pants and combat boots look.
I got the Taos mid-calf boots that forum member Diana has. I already have the shorter version in both black and burgundy and they are workhorses for me - worn everyday for about 6-8 months of the year. I jumped at the taller version when they were 20% off on Styletread. I am a big fan of this brand. Love their sneakers too.
I had no luck finding coated (leather look) jeans so I took a pair of coated crop flares I got a few years ago and had them altered to a more tapered fit. Cropped flares don’t work for me These are a mid rise. I prefer a high rise these days but I can live with it. They are otherwise a good comfortable fit and now tuck nicely into my boots.
No 2: I got some See by Chloé boots a year or so ago for a big discount from YOOX. I think of them as “pretty” combat boots. I wore them with an older midi skirt, fishnet tights and socks. (I wear footless fishnets because my toes tend to rip through them.) I also wore earrings for the first time in years (ouch!). A bit femme fatale. Date with DH!
On the virus front, things are still going pretty well here in Australia. But I’m aware that the statistics coming from some other parts of the world are grim. As usual, I hope everyone is staying well and strong.
