Ok. I just got a coupon for a pretty significant discount at Lands End plus free international delivery. What better time to get that puffer coat and keep it on ice, so to speak, for the winter!

That's not what I'm asking about now, though. My old robe needs replacing and this looks like a cozy, comfy alternative. I don't need glamour here, just softness and warmth. My apartment get very nippy in the winter.

So now I'm deciding on colour and am torn between the "true navy" and the "rich red." Is the red an obnoxious shade or a pretty one? Will I look like Santa in a long, red, flease garment?

I think it does look a bit Santa like...I'd go with navy, if that's a concern. It's not that it's "obnoxious" but it does seem like a Christmas red.

Plus with navy it doesn't show spills and spots so easy

Oh the navy looks fab and may not show Reva's hairs quite so much. I'm completely addicted to my gownie and wear it even on the hottest summer nights.

Edit: Hottest UK summer nights or not very hot at all

Thank you ladies! My instinct was for navy for the same reason as Fi pointed out (fact: blind chicks are clumsy), but I thought I'd check on the offchance the red was pretty.
Yea for items that are solely about comfort! I have a prettier robe for if I ever have to go away anywhere, but it's got nothing on something like this for comfort.

Another colour question!!
What in the world is "Loganberry?" Some colour terms are self-explanatory, but this one is not. Is it pretty enough for a nightgown?

purple...not a vibrant jewel tone, but not quite pastel lavender.

it's a muted purple on the verge of being pastel. I would wear this colour but I think you would look better with a little more saturation. Yes even in your bed LOL.

Land's End and LL Bean have the craziest color descriptions. You don't know whether to wear it or throw it in the blender and make a smoothie!
Loganberry is purple. And there are a million different purples out there. Personally, I love purple and would order this in a heartbeat. Remember, it is the color of royalty!

The red is too bright, I vote for any darker shade. Navy is lovely.

Navy is a great choice for that fleece robe. I always look for dark colors in pajamas and robes - when you're not wearing a bra dark colors are much more camouflaging than light colors, you know? In fact that robe looks so darned comfy that I would be ordering one right now if it weren't for SYC!

I actually like that Loganberry color. On my monitor it's not pastel at all. It's not deep and rich, but still looks good to me. I think you'd look great in that color, and purple in general. (Sorry to throw another opinion into the mix!)

I agree with Tara. It looks like a lovely medium toned purple. Lands End colors are usually pretty saturated in real life. I alo vote navy on the fleece robe.

Another vote for the navy blue robe ~ not that you need more opinions at this point. I really like that loganberry color, and like it best of the colors shown for the nightgown.

Thanks everybody! Navy robe is in my cart along with the purple nightgown. It's a sleep tee, so even if it isn't the most gorgeous purple around I don't care. Most comfortable sleep garments ever (for someone who hates pj's)!

Maya, I'm getting the puffer in black. I know there was a movement afoot to get me into the blue one or the aubergine, but I don't actually ahve much in the way of black toppers and I don't mind doing it for a puffer. Plus if there was ever a garment to acquire in a slimming colour for me, this is it. And what fun I'll have accessorizing it with colourful scarves!
