Colors for International Women’s Day

No surprise here, my easiest color to choose from in that collection is black! However, I am going to a "celebration of life" memorial on March 8, and my dear friend wore bright color, so I would love to wear a happy bright color in her honor, but...it turns out I don't have much! My colors tend to be more muted, it turns out. I'm loving that red. I do have a nice bright red lightweight sweater, but it's meant to be worn under a jacket, and it's a little too clingy to wear on its own. I also really like the emerald green silk top. I have a very old satin-y silk fitted blouse in that same color that's (again) just a *tiny* bit snug at the moment. No purple to speak of in my wardrobe right now.

Proud to say Int'l Women's Day happens to be my birthday. I almost always wear a red/black/white combo though I've done berry/black in recent years too.

Ironically enough, despite loving colour, I don't have many of these particular shades in my wardrobe! I don't have much pink/ purple/ red/ white/ black... maybe green?

The Cat, thank you for the link. Different places mention other colors as well. Angie said she would be wearing red today, me too, red and white.
Maybe different websites push for different things but all the colors below seem good.

I didn't know about the special colours (beyond suffragette white) till I read this post a couple of days ago. So, I am wearing my red plaid midi shirt dress with a white gilet overtop, and tall boots.
