I have not been so excited about a post since Angie threw her ink gilet over denim. Three favorite neighboring colors on the color wheel all in one outfit? How can it be? Too much goodness! I can't get enough of this on others and can't wait to try it myself!

I agree. This color combination is sumptuous. Consider the fact that texture plays into it as well as you play with outfit creation.

My wardrobe mostly consists of orange, pink and deep purple - very similar colours to this combination - but I have a deep burgundy/ red bordeaux velvet blazer which was becoming a closet orphan. So glad I found this
colour suggestion in time to save my blazer from eternal clothing purgatory!

What I'm even MORE excited about, though, is the idea of further pairing this combination with a deep, rich chocolate brown. Gold would also make the perfect accent colour - so many possibilities!

Colors are such fun to combine in different ways. Yesterday I experimented with olive and pimento and liked the combination.
Today's Angie ensemble uses opposites on the color wheel, blue and orange.

I love experimenting with color, but have sort of lost this passion until lately, when I saw a friend wear a burgundy velvet embroidered jacket with a teal cami under, and this post! Awesome! I remember in high school, (being the fashionista I've always been) I noticed at a church function one of my friends wore rust colored pants, with a burgundy turtleneck! I was intrigued, those two colors being mixed like that! Wow! Is there a pic of Angie's ink gilet ensemble? I'd love to see it~

I used to love to mix colors in my outfits, but have lost track. Need to begin that again a bit. Can't always wear black trousers with a white blouse!

Zaeobi: love love velvet blazers, especially in burgundy! Bring it out from purgatory--lol. I have one too somewhere in limbo~yes, mixing it with chocolate brown is a good thought!

KKards: I wll, indeed, post some pics of outfit combos as soon as I get a break in my schedule. It may be another week or two. I am reading everyone`s posts with great interest in the meantime!
