Y'all know I'm a total cheapskate, but I'm slowly coming around to the idea of buying some things for quality and longevity. I need to upgrade my dressy shoes at some point in the relatively near future and was eyeing some of the Cole Haan Air <name> models that I've heard good things about. Does anyone own any of them, and are they worth the price? Clark's-level pricing is usually my top end, but these are nearly twice as much. Are they twice as nice?

I have a cole Hana Nike air wedge and a heel and I'd say yes they are more comfy than most if not all of my comparable shoes.

I think CH is a great go-to for investment pieces. While not the sexiest, they are very comfortable and well made as far as what I've owned. (Thus far a pair of gladiators and tall black boots.) I plan to replace my black pumps with CH soon. The pair I am eyeing is $200, which is a lot for me, but it's a staple, so worth it.

I think I saw some colored pumps on sale for $99 the other day and possibly another 30% off...? They do have some ok sales if you sign up for their email alerts. HTH!

I have the cole haan carma peep toe sling backs & one of the classic air pumps, both have about 3" I think heels, feels like 2.5 with the slight platform

Certainly worth it for my fussy feet, and although I don't wear them often sometimes I just need a pair of heels you know? I got them both off ebay, new with tags, so the price was super. (less than $75 for one pair)

I have Cole Haan boots and the comfort is amazing. I have eyed their heels too and will be watching to see how you like them.

I have two pairs of Cole Haan pumps and they are extremely comfy - especially since I am starting to develop bunions and can't wear a heel higher than 2" comfortably.

IMHO worth every penny.

I have 2 pair of the carma air pumps, peep toe versions, one black suede, and one black patent. I love them both....much more pricy than I usually pay, but was able to find them on sale (still pricy but better!) The suede ones are VERY comfy, the patent a little less so due to patent not quite as pliable. I was a larger size than I am in many other shoe brands but I don't care about that if good looking shoes are also comfortable. I don't wear them as often as I would i if I still worked outside the home but I do wear them....they look almost new, 3 years plus old....hope my input helps!

Much more comfy than regular heels! I had to give a couple away b/c I can't do high heels anymore, but I just ordered another in a lower heel. My hairdresser introduced me to them. She stands in the 4" heels all day. You can often get great deals on amazon. The ones I just ordered were from L and T. Reg $225 for $70. We also have a CH outlet nearby where I occasionally find something.

I have Cole Haan oxfords that I love. I have yet to find the right heels for my feet there, but know many who swear by them. I have had good luck at their outlet stores and always notice numerous heel options when I go. If that were an option in your area, it could lead to a significantly better price point. Good luck with your search.

Hmmm...I have one pair of Cole Haan wedges and I don't find them that comfortable. The cushioning is fine, but the way they cut into the side of my foot causes pain after an hour or two. I suspect I am getting a bunion :-(.

Also, if you have an outlet mall nearby, they can often be had for steep discounts.

Cole Haan has never worked for me. They used to be owned by Nike, and I can't wear those either. I suspect the last they are designed on are not compatible with my feet.

Interesting, Anna, as Nikes do not work for me either. They squeeze my toe box.

Hmm, thanks for the feedback, ladies. Sounds like it would be worth trying a shoe on in person before committing. Nordstrom has some on sale right now but not at a super-discount yet.

I am definitely one of the folks that will not wear a heel over 2.5", so some of their options are too high. I've had great luck with Born but they don't have many traditional low heels.

I was one of those that never found Clarks that comfy, by the by, until I realized I was a half size smaller in them than in every other shoe I've ever worn.

I wear the Cole Haan wedges... I think the style name is Monica. They are amazing. I own them in a few colors now and wear them exclusively during early fall/spring/summer.

Personally, I've never had any luck with Cole Haan - they just don't seem to fit my foot shape quite right - but I know many others love them. They'd be worth trying out!

I love the 2 pair of Cole Haan's that I own. Comfortable, supportive and well made. I will buy more. Just one thing, I have had to size up in one of the styles.

I have the short version of the Air Juliana, and I love them. I got them on Amazon for under $50. I recommend checking Amazon for all shoes - they often have beyond competitive pricing and always free shipping/returns on shoes. The quality is amazing. They're red patent, and the patent doesn't scuff, and the pointy toe is intact after dozens of wearings including 3 or 4 30 minute urban commutes. I've been known to destroy a cheap (and sometimes expensive) pointy toed pump in one or two wearings. The red shoes are also compliment magnets, and I wear them when I want to up the ante on my very casual work wardrobe.

I tried two other pair :
- Chelsea PT Low Pump in a half size up. All the reviews said they ran small. And it's true, the toe box was still tight, but it was a bit long/loose in the heel.
- Air Lainey Pump 75 in my standard size. Too tight, not comfortable, but still too loose in the heel so I knew the half size up wouldn't work. Not for my feet.

I have average width feet in the front, and a narrow heel. The Air Juliana took a little bit of breaking in, but were much more comfortable from the start on my feet.

Slightly off topic - the Angie recommended Sam Okalas are the most comfortable heel in my closet, leaps and bounds more comfortable than the Cole Haans. but they did show some wear and need a little toe repair after only a few wears. They're so comfortable I'm buying both the black and the nude to get me through this summer. I'll just have protective soles put on first. The second most comfortable pair of heels in my closet are from Payless of all places, a nude PU patent. The Cole Haans come in third.

Sadly I haven't had much luck with Cole Haan. Wish I did since I live right near an outlet. The two brands that fir my feet are softt and aerosoles.
