Cold wave!

Okay, by northern American standards, it's not that bad on the northern Indian plains of course. Only about to hit 2 degrees C by Sunday and rather foggy and drizzly. Besides, I have the baby to keep me warm. We don't have indoor heating, or it would be a real breeze, actually.

But still --- after donning four severely mismatched layers (no, the migraineurs among us don't need to see this), I have added an extra mini-resolution to my 2013 style goals. MUST acquire versatile winter layers with an useful level of coverage (see link) by next December. I fear I've been guilty of ignoring my least dominant season a little too much.

That's hysterical! This won't make you feel better but our next two days are expected to be 37 and 42 degrees.

I'd be freezing at the temp too - we have a few heaters, but not in every room. I have days in winter when I wear my coat indoors all day.

Anne, the funny thing is we do have a couple of space heaters --- but for reasons we can't seem to fathom now, we seem to have rented an apartment that doesn't have the right sort of power sockets... except in the open-from-both-ends living room, and the fairly useless bathroom and kitchens! I don't know what we were thinking. (Rather, we clearly weren't! Serves us right.)

Oooooh. There is nothing worse than cold in a place without central heat. Gets right into your bones then. You poor dear. I hope at least you can drink lots of chai to warm up the insides (or is that bad for baby?)

You definitely need layers and a good wrap or blanket of some kind.
