Well, the Stuart Weitzman cognac knotted sandals arrived, and they are cute, but so uncomfortable I could not wait to get them off my feet. They’re already packed back up for return.

I was hoping for a good refined casual sandal to complement the cognac bag I just bought. I don’t want more chunky sandals at the moment, and nothing too super-casual. I have that territory well covered. I’m not seeing anything else with this kind of vibe around. I’m being really picky about style, but not much in that color is speaking to me. Most of the ones I’m seeing are just too basic-looking. Others are too busy or too boho. I like how the Weitzmans are airy but have some presence, IYKWIM.

Any suggestions or ideas? I cruised through the mall last night while getting a watch battery replaced and was thoroughly underwhelmed.

PS. I could just give up on the idea of cognac sandals. I do tend to like to echo the color of my accessories elsewhere in an outfit, even though I know this is a neutral. Hmm.
