Cognac or chestnut boots - help me find!

I want a pair of tall-ish brown boots I can wear with skinnies (if I could also wear them with skirts, that would be a plus, but not necessary).

I'm looking for:

- cognac or chestnut rather than dark brown
- shaft height good for petites (I'm 5'2")
- low heel

I'm looking around all the shoe sites but can't seem to find exactly what I want.

Have you checked MizMooz? I'd look at the Infinity Shoes website--they have a funky selection of footwear that seem like they would suit your style. I like these a lot:

I like those Emmys--they remind me of my Paceys. Oops, the Jazmine is a bit too high of a heel, sorry. I have the Myrtles--Cathy has the Hannahs. The Hannahs come in cognac/brown too. The Hannah is a gorgeous boot--I noticed the black is on sale now at Nordstrom. (Angie gave me the thumbs up on the Myrtles with skirts/dresses.)

Have you looked at the Steve Madden Intyce? Although they might be too tall in the shaft... as well as too big around the calf.

I've seen the Steve Madden Intyce personally and they are not very tall.

You're right Celia... it says the shaft is 15 1/2 inches, which on me is an inch below the bottom of my knee. Don't know how that will work for Tricia though... she is 5 inches shorter than I am.

Count me in too... I have a pair of OTK black boots but really really would love a chestnut colored ones (knee high ones). I'm coveting those Vince Camuto ones and I hope to see them under a christmas tree

How is the upkeep of cognac/chestnut colored boots? Is there a way of avoiding the unsightly water stains and blemishes? (I used to have a pair of caramel boots and they got pretty bad). Is waterproofing enough, or getting stains just 'comes with the territory'?

I would think if you mink oiled them they would be fine. I have a pair of caramel colored booties that I mink oiled when I first got them. I have worn them in wet conditions and they did not get any stains on them.
