Great choice. The Danier coat looks wonderful on you. I would never think of Danier for a wool cashmere blend, but it looks like a great coat.

I'm late but wanted to express my admiration for the Danier coat. The style and, dare I say color?, are stunning on you. I'm looking for a non black long-enough coat and wish we had Danier. My biggest problem with a black, or any dark wool coat is a mostly white fuzzy dog

Sveta- So glad you are keeping the Danier. The Zara is beautiful and unusual but I think the black is heart pounding wonderful on you You can accessorize it in many different ways and lighten the look and make it your own. But for sheer drama, elegance and power I do not think this look can be beat!! Enjoy!!

Late for decision making, I loved the first coat better although I did have some concerns about it being so dark - but, you can fix that easily and longlonglonglong elegant coat is something to be seriously considered no matter what.

You've also made me look at my own old long coat with the new enthusiasm.

Back here to say I may have missunderstood the question:-(. I thought you ask for a coat to go exclusively with your cobalt trousers. So for that case I preffered the Zara one, even though the Danier is more fringe and classic in the same time, providing more warmth(love the length, too) and better quality for it's price. If considering all these, Danier was the best choice, indeed.

All Zara stuff has been shipped today. it just did not hold the candle to the Danier one when you see them together.
Danier coat is waiting to be steamed and for the weather to turn colder. I think it should be good up until -10C, the fabric is so thick and warm.
I still have concerns about the black because I am not used to wear it in such expanse and I am afraid it can overpower me. However I am resolved to work on this and even looking to add a couple of light and bright scarves to my collection, just cannot decide on the color yet. Maybe it would be a topic for another post...:-)

FWIW, I preferred the Danier too. xo
