Angie suggested I get coat help, so here I am! Once I pulled my coats out, I think I see the problem. Everything is technically snow gear. There's a reason for that: my husband!

He's from Buffalo and I'm from the south and didn't have coats growing up. He always says this kind of coats are what people wear, so I believed him! It works in his hometown, but here, I feel out of place.

I'm not a dressy dresser, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for? A puffer? We live in DC now, so it gets colder and windy.

I think both of these aren't very flattering.

I just bought this one and I'm not sure what I think. It's a leather coat that I found at Kohls. I love the details and the collar, but I've never worn leather before. It's not super great quality and has an odd drape (I think it was packed funny at the store).
