Club Monaco floral moto - again

Back awhile, I tried on the Club Monaco floral moto jacket that Angie had posted about (here's my thread trying it out http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....loral-moto). At that time, the medium was too small and there was no large to try on.

Well the jacket is now on the Canadian website at a significantly reduced price and available in large. Returns are free to our local store should it be required.

I have a floral jacket (my wildly bright green and orange one) which I'm not as crazy about as I used to be. As part of my overall style shift that I seem to be experiencing, the green jacket just isn't getting as much love as it used to.

Would it be worth trying the larger size of the CM moto? More importantly, is it a jacket that you can see working with my current style? Is it a style that will have staying power?

Would love your thoughts ladies.

I think it's worth a shot. It looks like it's different colors than your other floral and if you think you'll get a good amount of wear out of it, I say go for it.

I vote yes, Shannon. I can really see the softer colour palette working with your more ladylike style preferences. I loved this moto style jacket and this particular floral print from the get-go and do believe it's an item you'll still be able to wear "next year" too.

I went back and looked at the previous post and I really did like that floral jacket on you. And ordering online there is no rude SA to deal with either. I get that sometimes too, it's not any of us, it's just them.

But now I worry since you've said you've lost weight, will the L be the right size?

Inge - I see my style shifting lately too and think this floral jacket is more in line that my chaotic green one.

Textstyle - I still think the large would be the right size. In fact, when I first tried it I was not sure the large would even fit and be too small. Now I think it would be about right. And if too big, could be exchanged for a medium.

Thinking I gotta give it a bash - off to order my sweet enablers

I feel like I am always poo pooing on your ideas and I apologize for that. I seem to be working on a more minimalistic approach and perhaps am applying that to others as well.

I find that our spring and fall are very short and summer is usually too warm for a jacket most of the time. You have an outstanding jacket collection already so I wonder if you need another one. If you do, I think the shape of this one is very good for you and the length look bang on too.

The way things are going, we may be wearing leather jackets until it snows in fall.

Dianthus - no need to apologize at all. I value every opinion and always appreciate your wisdom and honesty I do agree that normally our spring and fall can be short and then we're into the heat. However, I wear a topper of some sort every single day at work in the summer - our A/C is crazy cold and a blazer or jacket is a must. So strangely enough, I think of this as a "summer jacket". Also because I wear one almost every day, I do like to have quite a few. You are right in that I have a great jacket collection but there are a few that I'm ready to upgrade to a better version - my green thrifted floral blazer being one.

Lyn - the medium was a good 2-3 inches away from doing up and was very tight in the shoulders/upper arms so I'm pretty sure it still wouldn't fit.

Thanks for the enabling Rachy, Glory and Suz - I've ordered it and will see how it works. It may not fit right anyway but I figure I have nothing to lose by trying it - besides the shipping is free and the returns are free so no risk.

Looks like you already had a bunch of enablers help enable, so I am too late to enable! I do like the floral jacket . I think the large is worth a try.

And it is still on your mind, so that makes it doubly worth trying.

Why not order both medium and large to try. The medium was the right length and sleeve and might fit now. I don't think you need to be able to do it up unless to plan to wear it that way.
