I caught a radio interview with fashion designer and biologist Anke Domaske the other day talking about her fashion designs, which are made from a fabric that she and her team designed that is primarily composed of a protein from sour milk. (Apparently, the finished product has a texture/feel very similar to silk. It looks beautiful from what I can see from the video.)
I found it absolutely fascinating and couldn't resist sharing, even though I probably should have waited for the weekly link roundup.
