I recently passed on two huge boxes of my size-18 clothes to a local girlfriend, who was thrilled to have an instant wardrobe. She had just gotten a promotion and needed a more professional update. I gave her one, free of charge!

Last night, another of my girlfriends invited me to her house, where I was the recipient of her closet sweep efforts. She had lost weight too, and now had a ton of size 14s, many of which she had never worn. You guys, I came home with FIVE garbage bags full of quality clothes. Five!

I feel almost drunk on clothes. *g* Tonight I did a deeper clean of my own closet, filling up another two boxes to pass to my first friend. In trying on all my new clothes, it's really brought home for me how much smaller I am getting; I thought I still fit in my XLs but wearing the new Ls made me acknowledge the larger size is not right for me anymore. So I have even more earmarked for cleanout in another couple of weeks.

I also suspect I may end up passing on some of the things I got last night (she's more of a pastel fan than I am), but until I am done losing weight I'm not making any final decisions on things that fit now or will fit soon.

Still. Five bags! Hopefully this means I won't need to buy anything new for a bit.

Ha. Right.
