Clothes from Banana Republic sale - long

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been around much in the last week - I got slammed with work again.

I ordered some things from the Banana Republic sale and would love your feedback.

Items:
1. Black and white striped ruffled shirt. This seemed cute and the fit good. I'm thinking keep.

2. White blouse. This isn't too exciting, a short-sleeved no-iron blouse. It's a good basic I could wear with a lot of things. Mostly I liked it, but I was worried there is too much fabric under the arms (see the last picture). What do you think?

3. Red patterned knit top. This was quite comfy and seemed to fit well. I'm thinking keep.

4. Gray ruffle-front shirt dress. I posted about this dress early and you all advised me to go for it. Here it is on, and it seems really good. Actually I'm quite enamored of this dress so I hope it gets forum approval. I took a bunch of pictures with and without the ribbon belt and with two other belts - a leather patterned belt and a silk sash. Any comments on which of these looks good/bad?

Medusa that is a fantastic haul of clothes from the sale.

I really like the stripes shirt and can see it working well in your wardrobe.

The white shirt is nice, it's just not a stand alone piece so does not have the impact of the other items.

Your third top is very cute, I like the shoulder and neckline on you and I think this would look adorable with jeans.

The dress looks amazing on you especially in that colour. I love it styled with the brown boots and the black belt. I think you have already styled this dress better than the catalogue.

That's four keeps from me.

My favorite is the dress, it fits you perfect and the color is lovely. The white shirt seems too short for skinnies, maybe with skirts.

Nice items!

- I think the grey striped shirt looks great. Very versatile and flatters you.

- The white shirt seems somewhat short for jeans. Also, I'm not a big fan of the fit for some reason, but I can't put my finger on it. Because it is meant to be a layering piece, maybe it would be good try it out in some combinations to see if it works well as such?

- I like the neckline on this top! Smart-looking and yet easy to wear - win.

- Love the dress on you! It hits you in all the right places and looks great.

Grey shirt - Lovely, colour, texture and fabric. Looks great on you

White shirt - Will work well for layering but blah by itself. Also, by itself I find it a bit short to wear with pants. Maybe some nice jewelry and a belt might perk it up to wear alone?

Print top - Very cute neckline and looks fab on you!

Dress - Fantastic! I love the last combo with the colorful belt and the chestnut boots.

Good job. I like the first ruffle shirt, and the red patterned short sleeve top. The white blouse should be good under jackets and cardigans. If the length and the fit under the arms bothers you, return and find a better fitting white shirt. The dress fits you so well. I love it in all the combinations you have shown and I also kept thinking it would look good with stirrup leggings and your Anthro shoes.

Ooh, my favorite is the shirt dress on you! I really like how you've mixed it with a different belt and boots. I like to take the self-belts off shirt dresses and put my own on, too. It can give it a totally different feel.

Love that dress! Me thinks you will get years of use out of that. Have you tried it with a boyfriend cardigan and black heels or booties? That might look cute. I'm thinking the shoes would have to be kind of 'edgy' (like the booties) to toughen it up. I think it is a great dress and can be worn a lot of different ways. You got some great things!

I hadn't noticed about the length of the white top. But actually I need some tops to wear with skirts, so that could work well. I'll try it under some layers as well to see how it looks.
