I found three bags of items to throw away and a good number of items to bring to resale/donate. It is really hard to edit when you live in a climate that has four very distinct seasons. Actual physical seasons, not just fashion seasons (although those seem pretty important too). I did not edit my warm weather items because those were just done last spring.
What did I learn? I don't really think I have any wardrobe holes that need to be filled right now other than one pair of black pumps. I need to spend more time thoughtfully going through my wardrobe putting together looks instead of falling into the "I have nothing to wear" mantra. I don't really need anything at all.
I have boots. Lots of boots.
So, I am going to try to make my style goal not to buy anything new in 2014. I do have a few items on the way. I ordered a couple of metallic sweaters, booties (I know!), a pair of leather front pants, and black moto jeans. Beyond that, I think I can mix it up and up my game with what I've got. Wish me luck!
I added some pics of what everyone else was up to while I slaved away. My hubby and son are home for the next two days...schools are all closed due to extreme cold temps. Angus, on my hubs lap, and Freya (not being helpful during the cull), couldn't be happier. The cat and the kid are holed up under a blanket together watching movies. I think I will join them.
