It's getting close but not quite done. I thought I'd share what we have for now as it's functioning anyway!

The black piece you see in the middle here on the left is actually the right side of a theater piece from a 3 pc. set that we picked up at a furniture store. My sweet sweet husband then bought rods on-line. Oh, the hangers he found on Craig's List also for a song ($.10/ea to be exact). We stumbled on them while doing something else & couldn't resist for the price. Oh, there's a pullout valet rod on the side of it also - not sure if you can see it but it's the silver ball.
Notice the scrabble letters on the shelf - that one's for you Angie!
Then, my favorite - the accessory wall! The peg shelf was filled with scarves originally then I decided to try them on the old ladder. Kind of fun! The dress form - that was my Christmas gift last year from DH. THe little shelf on the floor is for me to just have the shoes I wear everyday - whatever the season right there. The black hutch is filled with old vintage jewelry boxes I've thrifted over time as well as the jewelry within. Memories of things from my mom that I miss so much & DH's gma that I loved so dearly as well. The top of that hutch is again thrifted finds. Love the little dress form on top $2.88 @ Goodwill, LOL! Can't tell much from the pics but it's a leopard ribbon on the wreath. Another rod we attached to the hutch for coats, dresses, pants, and more scarves.
The back wall with the window contains my favorite spot - the desk! That's what transformed it from Closet to Studio. I got the idea from a comment Maegan (http://www.lovemaegan.com/) made on her site one day about working on one and having her desk in her office. (I haven't seen pics of hers yet.) Ohhh that was the answer for another problem I had at home though.... Yes, this "studio" is multi-functional. You see, in the bottom of that black hutch is contained all of my scrapbooking supplies as well. The window's natural lighting was a requirement. Ohhh the fun little birds on the shelf...The little wooden thing on the wall next to the desk is what I keep my belts in. I'm hunting for a very small short dresser to sit on one side of the desk to store some intimates in as well.
The next wall is shoes, not sure if I'm going to keep them in boxes or what yet. Then, we did a built in ironing board. Not sure what we're doing with the cutout space below it yet but I wanted to save every ounce of space. Might do a fun basket there. Right now, it holds a mess of extra scrapbooking supplies. Then, the safe. We utilized space above that also.
Oh the lights, we got those at Habitat for Humanity Restore - $10/each. The paint is 3 colors mixed - just using what we could.
That's about it. We still have to do window & door trim. Then, I have to get the chair I'm really going to use at the desk & probably some fun leopard rug for the middle. Lastly, we'll probably add shelves under the top rack of clothes on the first wall & move DH's down to the bottom. Then, the only other change I might make is to "Capsulize" it --- meaning Capsule sections (workout, winter, formal, etc.). Everything is movable so I would just have to sweet talk DH some day. That will be awhile though --- I think he's worn out right now. Bless his heart! I love him to death - he got major brownie points on this one!!
