Closet and Outfit Organizer Apps for Your iPad and iPhone

Hi gals,

I am trying to stay organized in order to figure out what kind of stuff I need to buy: bags for certain outfits, shoes for others, styling pants, dresses and tops I've bought.

I wanted to ask you if anyone here is using an app for your iPad or your iPhone where you take pictures of all of your clothes and create outfits, save outfits you love and own and save inspiration outfits.

I am currently doing my research on my iPad, and would love to know how you are keeping track of it all.

Ideally I want to find an app which I can use on both my iPad and my iPhone. When I shop, I have my iPhone with me, and it would be nice if I can browse through some of the outfits I've collected. However, when I am at home and browse through the web for style inspiration, it would be better if I can use the iPad.

I have Stylebook and it seems to offer the functionality you are looking for. I enjoy playing with it a bit but I haven't taken the time to photo all my clothes. if your wardrobe is current you may be able to find most online but my closet is mostly thrifted. It is not free so if you have questions you can ask me.

I use stylitics on my laptop and android devices and quite like it. I can't speak for the IOS apps, but I know they have them. You can add your items and organize them in outfits.

I found stylitics was too much trouble. I run everything --research, household, travel, much of my writing-- on Evernote, so creating a clothes notebook was a snap. It is searchable, so I can indiscriminately dump in screenshots, photos (iPhoto, Aperture and from my mobile), webpages, business cards, scanned images, PDFs. Linkeable and handles a seemingly infinite number of tags.

I've been looking at different ones for iPad and I think that Stylitics may end up being the winner . It's free no need to upgrade to full wardrobe expanded wardrobe packages . You can take pics or download .You can check the weather . You can save outfits. I don't have an iPhone so I'm not sure if it works for that too. Reason it's free is that you can also go shopping on one part of it similar to Polyvore.

I just downloaded Stylebook and have been snapping pics of my clothes all weekend....not sure what I think yet...I'll be following this thread with interest....

I am finding it's a bit of a pain to zap the backgrounds out of the photos for stylebook. I am not sure if it's because my photos are just poor quality so the contrast isn't strong enough.

I use Stylebook. The hard part is taking photos of all your clothing, footwear & accessories but once that is done it works really well. It also tracks CPW - if you make outfits from your clothing items & put them in the Stylebook calendar (you can put daily outfit photos there too).
