Clinique naturally glossy mascara

I just learned this product has been discontinued. I have used it pretty much exclusively for 40 years so am going to have to find something new. Mascara for me is what I do not leave the house without. I like Lancome Definicils but thought was a little pricey for everyday (especially since I was so happy with my Clinique glossy)
I have tried drug store brands, but I never felt they compared to Clinique for me. What are your favorites/ tried and true?

Oh that's too bad! I've tried it but never repeated on it ....not for any reason other than I experiment with mascara and never buy the same one twice. Actually that's not true- there's a Cover Girl mascara in an orange tube that I really like, and in fact should get another tube of now. I'm not loving all of the fibre-y , clumpy, thick ones that seem to be the rage right now.

I use L'Oreal Telescopic . It's supposedly a dupe for the Lancome, which I'm not sure it's quite as good ... But at less that 1/2 the price, it's a great alternative!

For everyday I use the classic Maybelline in the pink and green tube. It is hard to find a brown-black mascara, which is what I prefer. But When I get the Clinique free gift with my moisturizer (Superdefense), I really like the Clinique High Impact, which also comes in a brown-black.

I love the travel size because I find those long wands hard to maneuver. Also, I prefer an old-style brush to the plastic bristles. My lashes are long and fine and tend to clump.

Another vote for the L’Oréal Telescopic . Fine brush for detailed application and a thinner formula .

That’s annoying!l find that Clinque are quite good at discontinuing things l like so l sympathise.l find the boots brand,no.7 is very good and they do a variety of finishes as it were.Good luck in your search!

That is annoying. I have a couple of favourites. I use the same Cover Girl in the orange tube that Lisa mentioned. I also like Lancome Hypnose. If I want to get fancy, I use Lancome Hypnose Drama. I don't like mascara which makes my lashes super clumpy.
I like brown-black mascara, but it is impossible to find in Lancome.

Another vote for Cover Girl orange. Also sometimes their green tube clump- crusher- more subtle. I use black- brown, which seems like getting harder to find in various brands.
I do like to experiment and have used a couple of expensive ones plus various drugstore brands, but right now mostly the Cover Girl. That washes off just with Cetaphil type face cleanser for me. It’s just so expensive to try things and chuck them if I don’t like them. Similar to trying a lipstick that you can’t test adequately first and with the first application go, ok, that’s no good , pffftt. I really like to wear mascara every day, but most of my friends don’t and as my coloring has “ softened “ I have to watch I don’t look too formal or harsh, so the brownish- black is best.

It is tough when they discontinue something you love. I find that happens most frequently with lipsticks, which is the one makeup item I wear the most. I only wear mascara when I go out, but love Definicils, which I've been using for decades. Yikes! I hope Lancôme never discontinues it. Although I've never used Boots mascara, I am a big fan of the brand, and have really liked everything I have ever used from the brand's makeup and skincare line.

Thank you for the suggestions. Given there is somewhat of a consensus among those who replied I feel like I have good direction to try and find a replacement both drug store and department. store options.
I do feel silly in that I know I like Definicils but have always saved it "for special" occasions... not everyday
I may be brave and try another Clinque...
Does not seem like mascaras could be so different, but I think they are.

Another vote for CG Clump Crusher, in the waterproof formulation.

Do I think it never clumps? Nope. But I do think the curved, rubbery brush is better at managing clumps than a more classic bristle brush.

Irrelevant memory lane detail: anyone remember the mascara in this photo? That was the first one I ever used. You ran the cake under warm water and then scrubbed over it with the mini "toothbrush" applicator. (BTW, those printed instructions were like the big sister/makeup mentor I didn't have...)
