My now #1 rule of shopping: Look in my closet before I click. I was admiring the SW Setaside boots that Angie recommended and seriously considered buying them. A little thought niggled my brain though. Didn't I already buy something similar last year? Yep, black suede Mezzamezza--similar style. I pulled the box off the shelf and pulled them out--never worn. Tried them on--2" heel a little higher than I wear these days, but I walked around and they seemed fine. All I can think of is that I was having a lot of foot and ankle problems last year and I guess I forgot about them. Ouch.
This year I haven't been up to going to the store to shop--different injury though--stupid abdominal strain.
No photos of me--I'll show them when the rest of the order gets here.
1. Every year I buy 1-2 Chantelle bras at the sale. I am 32G which is hard to find. I bought the Basic Invisible molded bra in toffee and in purple. (Doesn't everybody need a purple bra?) I had my doubts because the divided straps look uncomfortable. Surprisingly not--they are comfortable and look better under clothes than some of the other styles I have. I may get another one. The band on the toffee was a bit big and I put it on middle snaps. Not too worried about it--haven't had a problem with bra bands stretching much.
2. Mephisto perforated walking shoe in 2-tone gray. I bought a pair of this style in navy a few months ago and they look good and are reasonably comfortable. The 2-tone run a bit larger and I find these more comfortable, plus they are a bit different. The arch support is in the right place. With the navy I had to replace the footbeds with Superfeet berry after a few weeks. Don't think I will need to do it with these. Note: the two-tone style doesn't show up on the Nordstrom site anymore.
3. Joe's Saki Boots in taupe. Now these are a bit RATE for me, but there is something about them. At first they were uncomfortable--soles were too hard. Next day I added foam liners and my heel pad and walked around with them and they felt much better. (I have to fiddle with most shoes to get them right.) Footbeds are not removable.
I also bought a pair of Paige slim bootcut jeans. Snug at moment even though I bought a size larger, but it's because of recent weight gain due to inactivity following my injury. I hope to model them next week.
I also have 2 skirts, 2 pants and 2 quilted jackets on their way to show next week.
