CLEARANCE Rack White Jeans- 2 Ways

Yep, I found me a deal on a pair of ON curvy white ankle jeans from the clearance rack. They are high waisted but are roomy enough in the hip and thigh area, plus they dont cling on my calves either.

Finding just the right pair of white pants can be a bit of a challenge as I'm used to wearing darker colours on my bottom half, so I need to find a pair that have a decent fit and fabric to help balance me out.

Although these jeans are not trendy wide legs, they do have a looser fit compared to my previous white cropped jeans, and thats what I'm aiming for this summer.

I tried styling them in 2 different ways.

Photos 1-2) My blue ditsy print blouse tucked in and belted, then added a chunky light coloured longer cardigan.

Photos 3-4) Blue & white striped Breton top untucked with a longer navy cardigan added.

What do you think of my bargain? And are you comfortable wearing white pants?

These look great! I'll repeat my current mantra : Old Navy is doing a great job with bottoms right now . I enjoy white jeans, but am moving toward ivory or ecru instead now as white isn't really "my" colour.

Ooh I like them! Both outfits are really good. I am on the same quest - looser than skinny but not necessarily wide legs. I like white jeans and usually have some for summer wear.

I agree LJP that ON has been a good resource for me lately, I’ve purchased 2 other types jeans there in the last year.
RobinF I too am definitely off skinnies but I don’t need wide leg everything either.

Do you have a light neutral bag?

I’d describe them as slim BF jeans. Doing their trick, and a great replacement!

Asking me whether I wear white jeans is like asking me if I love dogs…… HECK YES! With all my heart. Ecru jeans too. Here's my current assortment. (The ripped jeans aren't ripped in person. Retailer mistake with the stock photo).

Oh I know how much you LOVE white jeans Angie.
As for adding a neutral colour bag with white jeans, what colour would you suggest? I wouldn’t want a white one. The bag in the first outfit is actually a light grey with tan trim, but it seems to appear darker in my photos.

I like them! I too am not going in for the super wide legs but am preferring a more loose boyfriend or straight leg style for now. I have two white jeans in my wardrobe one a self-cropped CK pair relaxed/slightly flared leg with a button fly, and two a Hugo Boss full length mini-bootcut pair. Love both of them but they are a bit small for me currently, although I am doing something about this and aim to wear them in July/Aug. I admit I do stress a bit about sitting on park benches etc when I wear them so I try to remember to carry a material tote in my bag to sit on.

White jeans! I now have more white than any other color. They are perfect for our cold springs. They (denim) can be too hot in summer unless cropped or rolled up or linen. Wear them now. The color is ok but does not always seem right for autumn. Last autumn I experimented with wearing spring and fall colors together and had more success with including white pants and shoes. I will do that again this spring.

Joy yes white denim is too hot for me as well in the heat of summer. I’ll be wearing them mostly in springtime and cooler summer days, but I’m not so sure about wearing them in the fall though.

Oh, these are super fab, Dee! Love them on you! Are they the same ones I got late last summer, I wonder? I got mine on super duper sale, too, and I have enjoyed them so much. Super comfy, not see through (some white jeans are, alas!) and a very easy cropped length for warmer temps or with higher shaft boots.

I never wore white denim in my life until I joined YLF. I remember the first time I wore it, I felt so self-conscious! But now it's a spring/ fall/ and summer staple for me. I say "summer" with some reservation -- it depends on whether we are in a heat dome, in which case I don't wear it.

You have styled them nicely. I like both these looks a lot! For comparison, just imagine how much less crisp and fresh they would look and feel with blue denim! That's the white denim advantage. White denim is great for those times when the light says "spring/ summer" but the temps are still chilly. For those cool summer nights when you need something that still feels fresh. For any time, really! I wear it in winter, too.

I wear white jeans year ‘round. Added a pair similar to yours (labelled ‘mom jeans’) last month and have accrued 11 wears already - so, I think you were smart to pick up a pair in which you are comfortable!

Suz I am at times a tiny bit reluctant to wear white pants, somehow they do feel a bit conspicuous, but its mostly in my head. You do make an excellent point about how they can make an outfit so crisp and fresh like no other colour.

I wear my white jeans in the fall/spring and on not too hot summer days.

I like them the most with a simple sweater or a top.

I also wear white or cream pants in the summer months and they are essential to my style. I think I always had a pair of white pants in my wardrobe, white jeans however were more difficult to find as it’s a generally always a case with denim. I only recently started to expand my wear of white bottoms into other seasons, used to be a summer only item for me.

I am wearing my white jeans right now. Mine are also roomy cut straight ones. They are thick and opaque, but also soft and comfortable. I wear them spring and fall. It's actually been a struggle to style mine, but thanks to feedback on the forum I am encouraged to keep trying. Irina made a suggestion a while back to wear one of my loose shirts with them, and that aha moment has given me lots more options. I thought I had to wear only tucked in or close fitting tops to contrast the roominess, but for me the fluid untucked look has also been working.

I am also inspired by you to try some longer cardigans with mine!

I have beige linen pants (beige is my white) but only worn them a couple times, as too sheer. Underwear in my medium skin tone does not really exist (I'm "a fashion color"). Plus I'm a woman of childbearing age so they're out for a week a month. Not comfortable wearing light colors if rain either.

Tldr- white pants nope!

To answer your question first, I love white jeans for early/late summer (I even have my versions for your's nr 2 here) but could never do them work early Spring or true Fall. Your nr 1 outfit here is a great inspiration for that. But for me wearing such open sandals with a thick cardi is a new ideea but it really lightens up the whole look for as springy as it can!

Great outfits, Dee! I particularly like the first one for spring, but only because of the white, tan, blue, cognac colours mixed in, but I wear black with white in the spring and summer and it looks sharp too, as it does on you. Yes! I am comfortable wearing light coloured pants and do so all year.

For the fall, I like white and grey; white with beige, brown, leopard print, burgundy; white with navy and burgundy (white with navy feels "spring" to me, but adding the burgundy makes it feel more like "fall"). White with other earthy tones (olive, mustard, rust). I don't know if you wear these colours?

I'm late but I want to say how fab you look in these two outfits. I cannot choose a favourite.
#2 is particularly inspirational for me: I have a very similar cardi, white pants and cream sandals. I only miss a breton tee!
I love white pants and I wear them in Spring and Summer. They have that Summery vibe that I like so much!

YLF in those jeans I like how the nautical looks are tempered by those fab sandals - do you mind if I ask where you bought them? They blend in so effortlessly with you!

You know, if you'd asked me last year, I probably would have said that I wouldn't wear *white* bottoms but would consider ecru or *warmer* cream ones instead. Now I'm not so sure, though - both feel like 'too much' colour on me (this ironically coming from someone who has no problem with mixing yellow, orange, teal, coral & gold - I know, I know, haha!) I think it might be because I'm a pear shape - I only own light coloured skirts, now that I think about it...

Zaeobi my sandals are from Naturalizer, I bought them a few years ago. They are a beige-tan and are one of my favourites as I prefer wearing neutral coloured footwear when I wear white pants.

Funny about what you say about white feeling like too much colour considering the other colours you love wearing. I too, am a bit pear shaped, but I feel the longer cardigans seem to help to disguise this fact..
