Clear specks?

Hello! It's been a while since I have posted!

I've been looking for some new specks. My last ones are smaller rectangularish shape, but I wanted something a little less serious. As Angie has mentioned, I also like the frame shapes that follow my brow line. My other half has encouraged me to try the clear frames, and I would like some opinions. Do they wash me out too much?

In my future dream wardrobe, I will have several frames for my varying moods! For now... still on a student budget!

Those are too cool! I'm terrible with judging shape, size, etc, but I love the clear frame for you.

Love the clear frames- what is the make? I tried to find a pair last year when I was looking for new frames, but was totally unsuccessful.

I got a pair of crystal specs two years ago from WarbyParker. This year BonLook has quite a few style in crystal. The prices cannot be beat at both of these sites.

Yes! These are great on you. I wonder if the frames will yellow after awhile, but maybe you won't have them for that many years.

I wasn't sure I'd like them, but I really really do! I think their more current shape helps throw of the typical clear frames vibe, and I just love those kinds of unexpected looks. Your pic also throws off my prejudice against dangly earrings with specs--these look great. Thank you for overturning my preconceptions and opening my mind

Wow! Thank you so much everyone. The shop is Eyes on Fremont in Seattle. The make of the glasses is Modoptic, model Pois3, made in Italy.

Thanks also for the earrings comment! These were some old clip earrings I found at an estate sale, and have converted to pierced. They have become one of my standbys.

Deb, thanks also for those links. Those are great styles. I really like the clear frames with a color or alternate material in the arms.

Has anyone had luck with the online mail order specks? I've uploaded my photo and shopped around before, but had a hard time understanding how the size of the frames are matched to the actual size of my head, so have been skeptical.

I have two pair from BonLook and one pair from Warby parker. I have a difficult prescription so I just order the frames with clear lens and have my optometrist add the lens. Bothe of these companies are good at exchanging the frames if I do not like how they look on me. If I had them do the lens with the frame, I would speak to customer service to see if you could order just frames , choose the frame you like then have them do the lens. I believe that is what my son did. I got him a gift certificate for Warby Parker a few years ago and he loved it.
