So I used to be a huge Clarks fan because their shoes are comfortable and wear ridiculously well. At least they used to. The last pair of Clarks I bought was a heeled bootie, but after one season of wear the toe started to separate from the sole and rain/snow leaks inside my shoe. It rains or snows here A LOT so effectively these shoes are now useless, even though otherwise they look to be in perfect condition, good leather, etc. I took them once to be repaired but after a couple months it opened up again. I was really mad about this because the reason I am willing to pay so much for Clarks is that they really outlasted other shoes. Now it seems like they are going the way of practically everything else, which is to say they are made well enough to make you buy them, but then start falling apart in weird ways. (I spent last night repairing various seams that have opened up in my most expensive clothing, so I guess I have a head of steam built up.)
Okay, rant over. My question is, since a lot of people here seem to buy Clarks, was I just unlucky this one time? I was so mad after this experience that I have refused to look at a pair of Clarks since then. But I miss my Clarks
