Citron handbag - your thoughts?

I saw this citron handbag yesterday when I was in Danier Leather. It's a very sleek and simple design, letting the colour be the star.

Fab for spring/summer or too bright/difficult to work with?

I really like the color! I'm not sure how difficult it would be to work with, I guess it depends on the main colors in your spring/summer wardrobe. I can see the yellow work well with many colors.

it has the potential to be quite fab I think. I would brighten up any monochrome outfit for instance. It would have to be center stage I think and be allowed to shine.

Have you decided on a trench? This would look a-mazing with navy, but might be a bit much with your green one.
So many great colours in that purse. I'm lusting after the dark blue one but I just ordered a new bag.

I think the color would work great for summer Shannon! I got a mustard yellow purse for Christmas, and I've been pleasantly surprised by how much it goes with. It goes with all the neutrals of course, but also my teal skinnies, floral top, navy top, cream print blouse, etc. I'd say go for it!

I love it! Citron goes with so many colors. Also, I believe Angie had a note on her pinterest board to find a new citron bag for the season....

Lots of citron love here! On Angie's original blog post about her Spring Shopping List, I had indicated I would like something citron. I guess this would qualify.

For spring/summer, I would have two new handbags: my creamy white one I got for Christmas and this citron beauty. I think that would cover everything, don't you?

I love that color. My favorite is to see this color paired with any shade of gray. But I think it will go with lots of other things.

Why only spring/summer? I have a citron bag that I wear right now, in our dreary wet Irish winter: it enlivens my black wool coat and makes my heart sing. However, I agree with Rachylou that this particular bag looks more ordinary yellow than citron.

And please enlighten me: what happened to the colour "lemon"? As a French speaker who learned English after I arrived in Ireland a few years ago, I still have difficulties catching the nuances of the language.

I would say citron is practically green compared to lemon.

Rachy - yes, I suppose it is just yellow. And I don't think you're a big meanie - lol!

Bagaline - I can't imagine trying to learn English. It really is a language that makes very little sense when you truly examine it. I have no idea where the colour "lemon" went - it's a lovely colour description, isn't it?

This would work with grey, navy, black & white - that's before you start on other colours. It's a great classic bag in a modern colour - perfect for your style imo.

More citrus love here. And being leather, it would never look cheap, have longevity, with a very high potential for re-selling second hand if you find that it doesn't tickle your fancy any more next year. I say yes to the tote.
