Citizens of humanity question - Updated with pics

I purchased these jeans:

and I know I need to post a photo of me in them for a true "review" but I can't do that at the moment and I have a couple of questions.

First, does anyone have trouble with dye transfer with COH jeans? There is a warning label that the dye may transfer to light surfaces and I REALLY don't want to have to worry about dye rub off on tops or anything else with these jeans.

Second, they are straight leg and they fit great through the calf, but my calves are just large enough to cause a little bit of bunching behind my knee cap (but the jeans don't pull at all on my calves) so I'm not sure if I'm being hyper-critical on this. Is that a deal breaker?

I will try to post a picture of me in the jeans when I get a chance, but just wanted to get these questions out of my head

Yes, I own these jeans (and recently duplicated - though have yet to take the duplicate pair to be hemmed). No, the dye does not rub off. Then again, I did wash and dry them twice before wearing - so I could shrink them before hemming.

They are uber-super-duper-comfy. The did shrink a bit lengthwise when I washed them, but not width-wise.

(Now that they are hemmed I turn inside out, wash in cold water, and air dry so they don't fade!)

I don't have an CoH jeans, but I wanted to mention that every pair of dark wash jeans I've bought has that warning on it and I've never had a problem with dye transfer. I'm sure there are brands that have issues with it, but I think for the most part it's there to cover the retailer's butt.

I think it would be hard to tell if the knee fit is a problem without seeing a picture.

I am considering these too after I knock off a few other items on my priority list. I am curious about the sizing - is it your regular size and is it the same size as those J Brands you tried a while back? Just looking for a reference point. Thanks!

They're a perfect fit. I love the wash on them. I have no idea about whether the blue will wear off. It won't be long before you'll know if it does. You can wear them around the house with an old T shirt and within a couple of hours you will know if the blue is coming off. That way you won't risk ruining your good tops. I've just ordered some COH jeans also in blue and black.

Shiny I don't know what the name of your jeans are or if they are the same as the ones I ordered in black. The ones I am awaiting are called 'Ava'. After Angie's blog post on the COH 'Amber' that she is fitting on clients with success, I lookd them up and ordered them and the COH black Ava. I have no idea yet if they will work for me and my particular body issues. I hope so.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I guess I was just being overly critical of the fit. I will wear them around the house a little while to see how they fare and then make a final determination.

Marianne, I can't remember what size I ordered in the J Brand but I ordered these jeans in my true size and they were fine. I'm *pretty* sure they are the same size I ordered in the J Brand too.

Angie, I've really enjoyed the straight leg jeans I have (the Taharis) and I've been looking for another pair since I've been wearing the others so much. I haven't found any that aren't premium that will work so I've decided to invest. I was never against premium jeans, I just probably won't own exclusively premium jeans as I don't have the lifestyle to support such a wardrobe

Thanks Dani! I might be too paranoid about sizes because my weight will still fluctuate a bit until I am done with nursing.
I also know what you mean about not exclusively owning premium denim. I am considering getting a straight leg pair from the Gap for down-and-dirty activities like playground.
