I have a gold lurex thread sweater top that I sometimes break out for the holidays. I haven't worn it in years. It's nice. Photo (found on internet) isn't so flattering. It has raglan sleeves, v-neck. It's a neutral beigey/off-white color with gold thread running throughout. I'm interested in wearing it to casual Christmas house parties.

I'm looking for alternatives to black bottoms or blue denim. I wore dark blue demin to a party last weekend and it was cute.

I tried it with my black Vince Camuto tube skirt and the proportions look nice, however the black is harsh against the beigey-gold. It works mostly but I look cut in two. Maybe if I had some gold below the waist (maybe gold bracelets) it might look nicer. I tried the black skirt/gold top combo on with black velvet loafer flats. Maybe if I had something shimmery on the foot...

Any ideas? White jeans would probably look nice as far as color goes. I'm hesitant to wear them for holiday parties.

Thanks for any ideas.
