I am packing and have no time to spare. Please tell me what to wear for the holiday with my family. They usually wear jeans; I’m usually in a casual skirt. Temperature-wise, any of these will work. Please imagine that I’m wearing cream-colored tights and a bra with straps that don’t show

It’s a run off between the dress and the black top!
We will be with my family in Ohio. The weather outside will be chilly, but the house will be around 70.

I much prefer the cream top and dress with the new cherry skirt if you wear light hosiery and footwear! I vote #4.

I am surprising myself by preferring the cream dress combination with the skirt. Is it comfortable enough to wear a short dress under the skirt? I always feel bunchy if I try to layer bottom layers, but maybe that’s just me.

There’s been a change in venue for this outfit. My parents’ house is warm, so I’ll wear the viscose skirt and purple velour top for Christmas Day. The red and cream outfit will be for their 60th wedding anniversary dinner a couple days later. I’ll add the new green jacket in case the restaurant is chilly, but what shoes?

I say whichever top you choose, definitely coordinate the color with the shoes.

To people who find your footwear inappropriate when you're in a skirt and they are in jeans, I say "Mind your own business." But I know families can be thorny; you're wise to pave a path of least criticism.

No footwear at my parents house on Christmas when they will wear jeans & I’ll wear new Esprit viscose skirt & purple velour top.
Cream dress, red skirt, green jacket outfit will now be worn to their 60th wedding anniversary at an Inn with a dressier dress code, and shoes will be required.

You might wear your red sandals, they have a required level of dressiness, I would think. You can wear something else to get to the venue and change shoes there.
