I am packing for wedding trip  & am choosing a wrap at last minute.

Temps will be high 90's but I expect brutal Texas indoor air-conditioning. I can probably gut it out for awhile and through ceremony, or might get lucky with temps,sleeves, but feel I should be prepared as I run cold and could end up huddling.

The dress style is hard for toppers, being boxy and asymmetrical. I assumed I'd have to do just a wrap so ordered this ivory one.I actually hate wraps for me IRL,  except for pure sitting events like in a cold theater, because they just don't stay put and aren't that warm unless I cover up fully and  tie them on like grandma. I love the look of a beautiful wrap draped over arms in a sleeveless gown but I don't do that any more. I have a ton of seldom-worn wraps.

So I realized I had these 2 EF open cardigans. The first is the one I am really considering --at first I didn't think of it because it's kind of on the silver-gray spectrum, whilst shoes are warmer tone, but I tried it in daylight and due to its slightly tweedy blend of colors and loose weave,I think it works;
Second cardi is the EF bone color--color is good but it's more casual and dense weave so I see it for another type of event; also reads as a lot more almost-white color which I usually avoid for weddings, though I think the lot-of-red dress mitigates that.
Last is the silky wrap which I am kind of loathe to buy just for this  if I don't have to.
Final thought is for part of event , my adorable 17 mo-old grandson will be present, I may have to (want to!) pick him up, and so something less fussy and dress-protecting would be good.

I am driving so could take more than one thing, but I think it's best to just pick &go.

So, I appreciate votes or suggestions--my preference is to make do with the first linen-knit cardi, just if I am freezing. Plus, please weigh in on whether the light colors strike you as not good for wedding. I I have always avoided white in any significant amount, not even a dressy white jacket), or if red dress takes care of that--no chance I'll be mistaken for the bride and I would not have to wear for family pics.

Thanks for looking!
