My beloved square-toed black ankle boots that I've been running around in for years, and have been to the cobbler more times than I'd care to tell, are finally starting to look like they're coming to the end of their lives. It's time to find replacements!
I've only just started my new job so money is still tight. However I have some John Lewis (UK dept store) vouchers that I can use, so I've been looking on the website. I'd welcome some thoughts on what I've found so far.
I should point out that I am emphatically not a skirts or dresses girl, so they would only be worn under trousers. I would need them to be smart enough to wear for work, and probably on the conservative side. I'm drawn to black as a strong statement but am aware I might be stuck in a rut/going for the 'safe' choice.
Funnily enough, all the ones I've picked out have ruching detailing. Is this a good look? Please fire away!
